Always thought his cameo in Trainspotting was great. Don't know much about him past that and the few moments I saw of supermarket sweep.
62, poor chap.

Apparently he witnessed his mother take her own life when he was 21.
He suffered from terrible depression recently and was very lonely.
No cause of death has been stated.
I will say no more because I don't know.
Always seemed like a really nice bloke on and off camera.

Always came across as a really nice person. Hard to believe he was 62. He made Saturday night's on BBC1 with him hosting In It To Win It on the National Lottery.

RIP Dale.

Didn't expect that, and i doubt he was on many peoples list for this year.

Not the biggest name on TV but the shows he presented were always watchable. When i'm next at my retail job, i'll give a minutes 'beep' on my till. With an inflatable banana if i can find one.

Was shopping with the wife in HMV Oxford Street once when we bumped in to him, he was super nice and friendly.

I knew he'd had serious bouts of depression in recent years, I wonder if this is related.

May he RIP

If this is confirmed then very sad, I thought that is what happened on the day he died but did not want to assume, but the cause of death was all too quiet.
He had his health problems and was lonely, is it prescription painkillers OD again?

No. It’s not confirmed but the Sun have got hold of something and are dropping a LOT of hints.

He recently had to sell his house in Regents Park and had rented a flat in whetstone, he was asking friends if they thought his funeral would be well attended and had had recent mental health and loneliness issues.

Whatever happened it’s between him and his maker.
