Why would he want to go to Hull with 13 fit players, the club having no intention of spending big and the club is up for sale? Their manager has decided he can't work like that and left.

I'd suggest non starter on that theory

The owners of Burnley will call that bluff I'm sure.

True but its Hull... A shambles at the minute and he's happy here, we may well be in a better position than them in a years time, it's a tough call for him if he has an offer, I'm sure we have offered him very good terms

Burnley's board/owners are under increasing pressure from fans (they will be ignored) to make some decent signings after farting about all summer with derisory low bids for players.

A week or so a go, Sean Dyche was urging PATIENCE but on Thursday he lost his normal cool and there was a headline in the local paper virtually saying....."Dyche tells Burnley board to pull finger out over transfers".

The actual quote from Dyche was ..."I have spoken with the chairman (Mike Garlick) and told him we need players in quickly. I trust him so now it's up to the chairman to sort it out."

Reading between the lines, the Burnley board will have to pay more than they want for some players or have to deal with a "pissed off" manager who has the sympathy of 95% of BFC fans.

It should have become obvious to the Burnley owners by now that you simply don't get bargains in the Premier League - all clubs have to pay over the odds...not the player's true value.

Who cares Dyche is a cock so i hope you go down horrid man horrid club

We are talking about Dyche not Stevens!

People on our end reckon there's no truth in a Palace bid for Stephens. Can't see why we would be interested, he's a decent player but we've got absolutely no need for another central midfielder for £10m. We've already got Cabaye, Mcarthur, Ledley and Puncheon who can all play there and would get in the team ahead of him.

Perhaps Pardew thinks this bunch you named are becoming an aging group for the Premiership and need someone with experience but younger.

Very short term thinking IMHO.

Looking at the long term I think both Brighton and Derby are a better bet for Premier and consolidation.

By which time Hendrick and Stephens might have retired. Derby do have a reputation for being perennial bottlers (usually about February time).
