She actually had texts from her two first choice Unis offering her a place before she knew her results
cheeky...! admissions tutors get the results on Monday morning but are not supposed to contact anyone until the results are published today...

Very, very proud of my Sister's daughter who got 3 x As, and is set for Newcastle Uni. It has brought some much needed happiness to what has been a difficult year for our family.

She actually had texts from her two first choice Unis offering her a place before she knew her results, the Unis must get the results first!

Well Done everybody who got what they wanted and needed - to those who didn't, don't worry or panic - it's not the end of the world! There are plenty of us who never made it to Uni for one reason or another, but who have still done OK!

I hope things work out for her Dave. My niece just graduated from Brunel this past year and really enjoyed her time there.

Thanks starry.

She has just accepted the offer to do a foundation there and is very chuffed.

bex was 7 points, 5 points and 8 points away from three c's!!!

she is seriously gutted
what did she do? what's she applying to?

i applied to maidstone, which was a four year honours degree course, but the first year was a foundation course that was tied on to an honours

that maybe the most ideal thing for your bex, if you can find a 4 year course that the first year is foundation which leads on to an honours

Afraid she is A Nottingham Forest Fan!

Sorry, no idea where she is going to be.

i recommend Richardson Road

its the 2nd cheapest of all the available accommodation, and its basically IN the university(the first cheapest is about 30 mins away), therefore making it also walking distance to the city centre

its also the most sociable:thumbsup:

Hi 1066,

I'm glad that there will be another Brighton Fan in amongst all of the yams!

I liked Wolves so much that I decided to stay on and do my masters!
