Blimey, page 14!

The Vuelta has been brilliant, hasn’t it? Some superb stages, especially this last week.

It finishes today with a 24km Time Trial in Madrid.

Looks like Roglic will make it a Slovenian clean sweep of Grand Tours this year after Pogacar won the others. He has 2 minutes in hand, and only a bout of the illness that has raged through his team could stop him.

Plenty of scope for movement in the rest of the top ten though!

On Eurosport now for those interested.

Good luck to Glenn Murphy who is currently on day six of the Ride Across Britain. Today’s stage is from Carlisle to Edinburgh.

First time out on the bike for 2+ months yesterday. Didn't really think about the route Id planned as its one I've done countless times before, but with a quick blast through Abbotts Wood added on. Bloody hell it almost killed me. Got to Arlington tea rooms feeling OK, but by the time Id got to Ringmer, via Muddles Wood / Chiddingly, I was blown to smithereens. Limped home down the river to Peacehaven, barely turning the pedals. Still aching today. It was less than 50 miles 😩

I feel your pain.

I went up for Newcastle away the other week, and rode the NCR 1 from Alnwick to Berwick Upon Tweed whilst up there. Setting out from Wooler, it would have been a day ride back in the day, but instead I had to split it into two days. On day two, I suffered!, even at the snails pace I now ride at.

I'm very happy though, as I was off the bike for two years due to health issues, so just being back riding again is a blessing, for which I'm very very grateful! Riding in different parts of the country is really refreshing too.

Evening and one for those who are on Linkedin and are planning a charity ride in 2025.

The Albion fan led Social Impact project Legacy 300 has teamed up with several GB Cyclists to create The Purpose Peloton to showcase the charity fundraising achievements of mainly corporate people . Its free to be a supporter https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-purpose-peloton and hope you can join us. We also will have an Instagram account set up, please in the meantime follow legacy.300

I would love to create an Albion Peloton and to stage a day at Lee Valley and also a social event in Brighton . Hope you can share the LinkedIn Group and lets see if we can make this happen.
