After a couple of years really struggling with everything, including cycling, Im loving every minute of this Giro so far.
I can feel my mojo coming back at last ๐Ÿ™‚
The two sprint stages so far have been off the scale !

Yesterday Pog and Thomas trying to slip the field and the same today with Ganna...

Being half a Dutchie only wish Kooij could win a sprint ( Jakobsen and Van Poppel too but they look less likely )

New cycling law passed. Are there any stats on death by dangerous cycling? Seems a bit OTT.
Unlikely these new provisions will ever be enforced, just like the illegality of riding on the pavement now is never enforced. If police issued the fixed fines for cycling on the pavement it would be a disincentive to do it and maybe this new law might not have been required.

Can't see anything changing.

It will mean cyclists who hurt others will serve long prison sentences. Until now next to impossible to dish out more than a slap on the wrist.

There are loads of shared use pavements around here, not a problem as long as everyone is sensible..............................

If anyone is at a loose end on Sunday, the RideLondon Classique finishes on the Mall, after 3 days of racing around Essex / London. All the top female riders & teams are there, and it should be a great day out watching the pros.

*for a bit of "home" interest, Francesca Selva is riding for Torelli - her first UCI road event. Francesca studied in Brighton a few years ago, and was a regular on the track racing scene at Preston Park Velodrome before returning home to Italy and turning pro / riding for the Italian national track team.

If you want to ride the London circuit before the pros, you can register online...and its all free!

Done a Frexit, now in London
I did the 100, first time I've ridden outside in the UK on the roads since 2019! Road riding in the UK is much more enjoyable on closed roads, not having to worry about someone trying to murder me.
It did feel like riding on actual roads is easier than on Zwift :ROFLMAO: but for my own safety, I think I'll be putting the road bike back on the turbo and only taking the trail bike out in the hills in the UK.

We hired a couple of Boris bikes and rode the city circuit a couple of times - good fun, but, bloody hell - those things are HEAVY & TOUGH. Perfect for cruising the streets of London though - & expect the cars would come off worse in an accident ๐Ÿ˜

It's World Bicycle Day today and to mark this and 10 years of delivering charity days with GB Cyclists the Albion Fan led Legacy 300 project released this promotional video

We have had so many amazing medal winning cyclists over recent years, and here is the current world champion for scratch race, Will Tidball 1066 cycling at Lee Valley VeloPark at a Legacy 300: One Sporting World event.

This summer should see some amazing sport with the Paris Olympics. If you would love to help celebrate all the achievements, check out the details of the Homecoming events, which includes meeting GB medallists, run by Legacy 300: One Sporting World on www.legacy300.com/homecoming

Its the way your employers can pay for your tilt at a GB Cyclist :)
