Fishing tackle on the hack.
You wouldn't want to waste quality components on shite roads, would you?

Oh I guess my Athena groupset is either 27 or 29, I can't remember which.

It won't be 29 on Athena. 29 was the reason I went with Centaur rather than the good Athena deal you pointed out to me. That one extra on the back is nearly the same as 3 less teeth on the front. The 29 pairs nicely with a semi compact for me.

Surely a 36 would only go with the new 1x that seems to be a bit of the rage at the mo. Even with a standard 53/39 up front, 32 would be plenty for anything we have in the UK I'd have thought.

Anyone know what the snow situation is in France today?

Wondering if Le Samyn will still go ahead?

At one point today the Steppers had their entire 7 man team in a 17 man break

God knows how the riders in Le Samyn stayed warm yesterday - I rode for 40 minutes this morning and have been sitting in my office for 2 hours with the heater on full blast...and Im still cold!

Shall we have a team name in the hope that those of us getting into the velosouth get to ride at the same time?

I don't get that. Apart from never having heard of the term 'sneckdown', I can't see where the extra unused road space is. That's pavement both sides covered in snow. Or am I missing something

I too had never heard of the phrase but there appears to be a decent sized snow covered gap between the 'road' and the curb.
Plus the obvious space untouched on the outside.

Eh!?, there's bugger all there. That's a curb edge under that snow, then pavement.

Fair enough, we must be looking at it differently.

As well as the glaringly obvious kerb edge on the left, there's also a less obvious curved one on the right.

Seems like usual Twatter load of old bollox to me.
