Anyone get into the London 100? I've been unsuccessful for the 4th year running.

I missed out in the ballot in 13,14,15 and 16. So, this year I snubbed them. I rode it with a club in 13 and there are now loads more participants. For me, it just looks too darned busy. My plan this year is to make my way to Ranmore with a picnic and watch the pros ride past. If I'm clever I'll see them a few times.
Looking forwards to it.

If anyone would like to join me in giving some gentle abuse to Burnley fan and more importantly double gold medallist STEVEN BURKE as well as ride the Olympic Velodrome on 16th February get in touch...

Hahaha.

Just after Christmas it was 06:15 and I was riding to work.
A 100 yds up the road a young fella pulls out on his new electric bike.
I overtake him.
He comes along side and says 'oh so you want to race do you'?

Well I didn't till he said that.

Off I go, half a mile up the road I got stopped at a roundabout.
Unbeknownst to me, we were still racing and out of the corner of my eye I see him popping up onto the pavement cutting the junction.
I was able to get round just still in front.

It turns out we were going to the same estate behind the petrol station.

He now cuts through the forecourt, down the steps.
Yet again, going the long way round I managed to stay just in front.

I arrived at work, early, and absolutely on my knees knackered.

The beaten man has never been seen since.

Beating a powered bike is such a rush though, isn't it. Got a few powered ones over here (as Christchurch is so flat).

I've finally decided to start cycling in the morning.
Saved up some money and ready to bike a bike for training. As you may notice, I am not an expert so it would be perfect if someone gave me an advice which model should I choose.
