Tour Down Under: Caleb Ewan wins stage one – video highlights

http://gu.com/p/4gxvz?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Copy_to_clipboard

TDU highlights available here, if anyone else is like me and doesn't have/want sky sports. It's less than two minutes, but better than nothing.
Also, sorry about the spoilier headline.

Brilliant, thanks!
No worries, but be warned do that again and you'll be hunted down like a rabid dog.

Oh and hello

To be fair, as soon as you click on the link, the headline that Molesey (where is that?) wrote appears above the video. Spoilers would appear to be unavoidable.

That's nearly a year old. I think tunnels are great. In theory, a sound plan. The thing is, you'd need to be close to either end yo make it worthwhile so a single tunnel would not get much use.

The biggest problem...would Strava work down there?

Interesting idea. I can't imagine enjoying cycling like this though.

In theory a good idea, but this is the UK and we have the forward thinking skills of a tortoise. It will never happen in our lifetime, whatever awards they want to give to the idea.

Brand new bypass just opened over our way. Putting a cycling path in with it could not have been easier if they'd actually planned it. Did they do it?, did they fvck!

Wankers one and all I'm afraid in a backward nation.

Oh I dunno about that 10. There's a groovy cycle path alongside the bypass near me. And the A21 works from T Wells to Tonbridge are looking promising in this respect. No idea why you'd wanna be there though.

I'm genuinely amazed to hear that Moto.

Perhaps they didn't bother here then because it involves Hastings and generally government, of whatever hue, doesn't give a fvck about Hastings.

'My' bypass cycle lane is very well used by walkers and joggers as well.

The A21 one will be fab if you work at the hospital and live on Tonbridge, or if you live in Pembury and want to ride to T Wells or Tonbridge. Eff all use to me and my occasional commute though.

The problem isn't a the by-pass lacking a cycle lane.
Be honest, nobody goes out of their way to cycle a by-pass.

The problem is the day the passes are opened doesn't correspond with 'traffic calming' work on the road/area it's by-passing.

Blimey that was chilly.

According to Garmin we got down to -7.6c in the grim north, around Midhurst.
Easily the coldest I've ridden in.

I've just sneaked past your record!

What are you wearing while riding in that?

At that point, we had to slow right down as there had been a accident on the road.
By the time we'd got going again, I'd 'lost' my fingers.
They were completely numb and I couldn't change gear.
Fortunately after about half an hour they started to get some circulation back.

My toes were very cold, but double sock with insulating layer probably did just enough to keep then at just blocks of ice.
I, well to be precise, Mr Barclay Card very generously bought me those NorthWave shoes.
I'm so fed up with white borderline blue, freaking painful feet after each ride.
