Just noticed that Horner 's published power isn't that unusual.

However, they claim he's 64.5kg....thats 3/4 of a stone heavier than valverde at 60kg!

Number fudging maybe?

Like all these figures, depends on who you read and how they interpret them. Put it together in the package though of where did Horner's, suddenly come from, why is he not losing power as he get older (as most riders do), hid previous associations (in his current team as well) and how he so easily bobbed away from specialist riders on grand tour mental climbs, leaves a lot of suspicion.

As a spectacle though amazing and Nibali must be wondering what he needed to do to beat this superhuman American. I believe he even beat Contador's peak figures.

But that then leaves it wide open for the Chris F defense after the accusations he had to put up with on Ventoux.

Weather, road condition, other riders pace, pre climb strategy, technology and so on.

I'm not buying what I'm seeing it's all very Cobo-esque.
But assuming he's not got an actual pre b sample cloud over him, and was clean throughout the Vuelta it's up to the biological passport to catch up with him over the coming months.

News just in:-

Wow!, cracking stage today in ToB today!

Really pleasing to see the likes of Dan Martin and Quintana prepared to light things up. Movistar in particular and Sojasun have come here to race that's for sure. Shame to hear Visconti's out and had to go to hospital. Hopefully not too much damage done.

Really pleased to see young Sam Bennett up there fighting for the stage win at the end, as well as Simon Yates placing well, but Ciolek is a tough cookie when it comes to atrocious conditions that's for sure.

Nice work :clap2:

Still, just think how gutted you'd have been if you'd won the stage today.....bugger all prizes for this one as far as I know. That's what happened to me in one of those desert races early in the season.

I literally have no clue who to pick in this race. I'm making it all up as I go along as the profiles are thin on info and I;m not sure who's here to race and who's not, although things are becoming clearer each day. You and Cranky doing a good job of getting it sussed so far though, and THPP weighing in with some tidy scores too.

Bolloxs! Now I've gone and ballsed up my transfers by clicking them through without thinking. Making a right hash of this race so far.

What thinking?

You take 2 riders out that add up to 35.6 and replace them with Wiggins and Dowsett. simples.

Breakfast - as normal
En route - 1-2 bottles of water
Finish - bottle of water, cup of tea, bit of cake
Generally, ride faster and be home for lunch.

Old school!

This, though I go for a porridge breakfast. 'Normal' breakfast is just a cup of tea then quick sprint to work before I am late.
