From a base of about 12 points it'll take more than just a week long stage race for you to top anything fatboy :p Still, the whites sock look great with those sandals regardless
Honestly, I'm so overwhelmed by 'fat Lampre's' awesomeness, it took me ages to notice that particular icing on the cake.

I seem to be doubling my points, daily.

Expect 160 tomorrow, then top of ALL leader boards, the day after.

My girlfriend is still beating you... ...again.

She picks her team like this "I like that Tommy Voeckler he is plucky, I am not picking Greipel he's got a stupid face".

Yeah, I distinctly remember pointing out 'you BOYS won't know what hit you'!.

She's somewhat flawed in her argument, Greipel not allowed in cos of his face but Tommy is ok:-

Doesn't make sense.

:lolol: I was tossing up between the two, then decided to play it safe and go for all the GC boys plus Keizer in the hope he would try and keep the polka dots. As it turns out Tommy V did not score that highly (26 points) my Mrs picked him though. Quintana had some sort of mechanical, it would seem, either that or he blew up spectacular, he was leading up the penultimate climb.

Ok, had a search around and it appears he had a crash on the descent and no team mates around to help him get back on.

I felt sure de gendt would go for it today as he left a big time gap on GC yesterday for what I assumed was breakaway breathing space today, unlike Tommy V at only jus over a minute down. Oh well, shows how much I know :dunce:

On Tuesday, I took jnr out for his first spin in quite a while.

Thankfully he finally properly fits his bike, so fingers crossed he can get some miles in, and work on his road sense!!

I'm even looking at The Greater H/Heath Bike Ride in April, as it has a 10 mile route.

Fantastic scenery today. Certainly helps that it was a lovely sunny day. Could I make top 10 this time tomorrow?

Not quite. Yet.

I know that most motorsporterists love cycling and I've heard some pretty impressive training runs they do, but does it cut both ways?

That was really rather entertaining, I supposed to be working but ended up watching the last 7km or so.

Definitely have 1,3 and 4 and think I have quite a few other top 20s too.

Make that 1,3,4,5 and 6

Wow. I thought I'd done well with 1, 3, 4, 6 and 9.

This is going to be tight!

1, 3, 6, plus a couple of others.

Talansky had me nicely bluffed, I thought he was going to whittle the lot down in the closing 5, and roll in just a few seconds down.

Great ride by Porte, and Spanish Dave, to set him up.

It's always pleasing to see a rider crossing the line barely able to salute.

1, 2, 3, 5 & 6. Fluke or what.
Anyone picking and then getting points from Menchov, needs to do the lottery.

There won't be many 1-2-3's about, chapeau.

Been away a few days and just seen there's a few more on here doing the Puncheur on Sunday.

It's very much a training run for me and my fellow 2 riders as we (hopefully) build to our July 7th peak.
It's also our first proper year of serious training, so not sure we'd be of much help to more serious riders in a bunch.

For logistical reasons our band of 3 will be setting off between 8:45 and 9:00am. I guess aiming for a silver-ish time of around 4h 30m.

Just watched the last 4km highlights.

8 of my riders in the top twenty. 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12. Bizarrely though my under the radar Frenchie who hasn't done quite as I'd hoped so far came in really well today and I took a 10 point hit to get Quintana in for him  Oh well, only lost a few points on that and worth it on reflection seeing as Quintana was a safe bet to place well on this stage.

Will be tight at the top though as most of us surely have the same riders.
