Cav needs to be on a Spech, he never looked right last year.

Did I hear Bosanhagen lead him out, he could be all victorious in TDF if he has both QS and SKY working for him on every sprint
OPQ came up short in the last 2kms, having done much of the donkey work.
Cav had to scrap, and went from wheel to wheel, for the last 200m.
He ended up on the other side of the road from Eddie and won by a length.

Inside the last 2k

Katusha had a nice train going but early.
Cannondale went mental then blew up/got swamped.
Sky swamped Kat but seemed to fizzle out early.
Vac got plaudits from the commentator, but I didn't really pick them up, either me or a kit thing.
Scrap to the line, I think only EBH had a team mates wheel, but Cav's win was eventually comfy.

You missed out, Degenkolb goes too early and gets swamped and FdJ's rather impressive performance launching Bouhanni in to 4th and Soupe to 10th.

Also what is it with Italian sprinters these days? They are so inconsistent, Viviani was superb in the first stage nowhere to be seen today. Guardini not at the races stage 1 right up there today. Ferrari is the same, Modolo also. Cipollini must be spinning in his Lion Man Suit.

Which is a good excuse for this, again:

Yep how dare I miss Jeff Soup off the shout outs.

My only defence is an advert popped up for exactly the whole time of the top 10 display.

I know it was late in the day, but I wonder if ITV4 made any effort to pick up the coverage?
They had a man already there, in Rendall.
Pretty decent English coverage.

Surely a stripped down last hour, intro and exit voice over from Rendall.
It's gotta be better than Minder.

A free gift for fantasy players.

Eddie B-H has been dropped from Team Stat, that can only mean one thing!

I beat you to it yesterday

I had a choice of stick or twist yesterday with EBH & Brookwalter. Determined to work Phinney in (who bloody crashed again today. See last years Giro) I chose to twist with Viviani more than adequate cover, or so I thought. Oh well, that's the luck of the draw for you.

I have to say though that Sky do puzzle me and I think tactically they're still very naive in a lot of races. Guessing who's working for who someday's is neigh on bloody impossible with them!

I hope you keep to form! EBH worked into Pilot Fishing. I couldn't get Phinney in too, but he'll probably crash anyway...

I think that's a little harsh.
This is clearly the core of their Classics team, not a bunch sprint team.
If they'd brought Ben Swift with them, then we'd know they were taking Qatar/TDU seriously.

While we are on Sky, what's the geek thinking on Ian Stannard, the AEA of Team Sky.

I think he's great, but he's beginning to trouble me.
This can't be right, but he seems to be too big and strong for the team.
He looms large over the Sky train then when he gets to the front he blows them off his wheel.

Stage 4 - Cav, Barry Markus, Guardini, Fortin, Kristoff, Cantwell, Bouhanni, Kruopis, EBH, Appolonio

Big crash in last 2km - presumably took out Degenkolb, cos Argos were killing themselves on the front until then.

Pretty good day for me.

1, 2, 5, 8, 14 and 15 on the stage.
1 and 4 for the GC.
1, 2 and 4 for points jersey.
2 for the youth jersey.

Got to be happy with that.

That looks like a haul in the offing.

I'd imagine I'm fairly average today.
