Maybe you're using the cycle to work scheme or something but does it have to be new? 2nd hand is definitely a buyer's market at the moment. I recently sold my Basso Gravel bike for £700, cost me £1800 2 years ago and it was absolutely mint condition.

All this talk of gravel bikes makes me wonder if anyone on here has ever been over to the Low Countries to watch cyclocross. Seems a pretty full on atmosphere.

I have a Dawes cyclocross bike which I bought in 2010, before gravel bikes were a thing. It was my intention to use it on the Downs, but I then fell off my MTB in a low speed, high impact incident, breaking my shin bone (took 2 hours for the paramedics to reach me, and I had to be transferred to the ambulance on the back of a fire service Land Rover pickup), which kind of put me off a bit! I've only ever used it on the road and the Egrets Way.

Yeah, I went to an early season superprestige race a couple of years ago when we were staying at a centerparcs nearby, was good fun so I'm dragging a couple of mates over next weekend to do it properly.
