I have noticed that my tolerance to anything spicier than a tikka masala leaves me in the toilet for hours, is this all part of getting older or should I just stay away from the chilies ???

You might have a bit of an irritable bowel. I'm 49 and eat spicy food 4/5 times a week with few problems in the Departure lounge. Red wine gives me terrible heartburn though.

Probably with the amount of abuse I gave it in my twenties

If I have curry( chicken Ceylon) and say a bottle of wine the next day I can guarantee at least 5 trips to the toilet all before about 11am honestly though it really pisses me off after about the 4th & 5th time I don't know if this is normal but it certainly ain't much fun after the 5th visit I'm thinking FFS I'm sure I never ate this much I just don't get how full of shit I am at times

I've always heard of spicy curries and toileting issues, but never experienced them. While my mouth can't manage a restaurant madras, I've never had a problem with the bowel department

I have just remembered when a so called friend of mine made me try a Batak masala as hot as the restaurant could do, it was so spicy I fell off my chair !!!

(I may have been a bit drunk also)

Thank god for NSC eh! It really keeps me occupied when I spend between 1& 2 hours on the shitter of a Saturday morning after a Friday night curry In fact 80% of my Posts are made on the shitter

It does pass the time ..... Just wish the wife would bring me a cup of tea up every now and then:lolol:

Before you eat a curry cut a scotch bonnet chilli in half and rub it on your hoop - you won't notice any discomfort caused be eating the curry after this.
