I wouldn't be at all surprised if the OTHER name that 433 is on about is the same one that I have heard. Completely different sources I'm certain though. If it IS then I'm fairly certain that many on here will be CREAMING their knickers.

We have gazumped Weymouth, haven’t we!?

:clap2:

Anyone got an idea who the other player is. The only other names in the 606 thread are:

Matt Richards - probably not if we're going ahead with Haswell.

JJ Okocha - don't be silly.

David Unsworth - nope. Too many defenders already.

Gillespie - gone

Currie - apparently coming

So, nothing there then... ???

Why not Matt Richards though as we really need to put a quality player in that position. I don't see Haswell being up to the job

Okocha would we pay the wages he would be asking?

Agree with no Unsworth

Currie i am not too keen on his return but looks like it's a dead cert

Someone mentioned the name of some Scandaniavian sounding chap from Southampton.

I would agree about Richards, but I would view our interest in Haswell as being a sign that Mickey isn't too keen on him (otherwise we'd have gone in for him immediately).

I'm very happy about Currie - he is one of the most skillful players in the division - and Forster and Murray will really benefit from his delivery.

Okocha - I can't see us paying him what he wants... unless God tells him to play for us:laugh:

See I knew you made that up. :( You big meanie.

How did you know that?

Was it because on Monday, in the 'This is boring, there are no new rumours' thread, I said;

"Don't worry, I'll make one up"

then ONE MINUTE later in the same thread

"I've heard we are in talks with Ostlund who was released by Saints yesterday"?

Well spotted  :dunce:

No experience above blue square

Didn't Micky say he wanted championship experience in his players

Like Richards has???

Mickey said he wanted players with experience of at least League 1 if not higher. He didn't say this would be the only factor that mattered when looking for players.

Alex Revell came from a similar level that Haswell is, and he didn't do us bad. No harm in looking at someone and seeing what they offer.

That is very true and look at what Harty has done for us so i guess we will have to wait and see on that one!!

Whats the obsession with this Jay Simpson fella? And how do we know he is a good player - didn't he get 7 goals in 45 games in a reserves league? Thats not the best of records is it.

I think he got 7 in 45 for Millwall on loan from Arsenal.
