Another question,
We can move categories can't we?
I may want to move Thiery Henry for example to "played in four different countries" from the category I have him in now?

As long as he had a squad number and was there when they went down he's fair game.
Edit: Go with what JOLovergrove said, and say anybody with one first team appearance that season counts.
I have drafted my post ready, so I'm fully expecting to see Gullflyinghigh stealing my pick!
So do they still need to be at the club when relegation was confirmed or just need to have played at some point during that season for a club which ends up relegated (even if the player had played early in the season and moved on / finished loan spell - meaning they could play the first game of the season only and still qualify?)
If you listen very closely, I think you can actually hear the sound of fate being tempted there.

My interpretation was that they had to be there on the day they were relegated. Instead of being there at some point that season. For example, I'm assuming no-one is going to pick Di Canio as manager, but if Sunderland were to be relegated, he wouldn't fall under Category 7 for his job this year? Is that correct?Category description says:
Category 7 – Has been relegated during his career
Has been relegated with any club during his career. The player (or manager) must have been at the club when they were mathematically relegated. Relegation due to breach of rules (a-la Juventus for match fixing.) do not count.

I would say they have to have been at the club when relegation was confirmed, otherwise the player themselves cannot be considered to have been mathematically relegated as the category description states.

As I've ruled out a couple of managers who were sacked just prior to relegation!

Oh, for **** sake!!!! P.S, Category 7 is open if you haven't already used it, was relegated at Lens.Right, I've had a ponder and I've decided that my next pick will be allocated to category 8 (mostly as there's nowhere else I can put him) and complete a defensive partnership that would strike fear into any attack-minded manager.
At the ripe old age of 21 He's established himself as both a first choice central defender for Real Madrid and a France full international winning the Copa Del Rey and La Liga along the way.
I've had my fingers crossed for so long in the hope that no-one gets him before I can that I can no longer feel them, and it was completely worth it.
He's a true rising star of world football, he is, of course, Raphaël Varane
