The sponsorship deal was only for 1 year , with an option to renew for another , so we could have a new shirt for next season . Look out for reductions in the club shop and this will be an indicator that the home shirt is being changed.

That is an AWESOME shirt. Are you listening Dick.. to summarise what people have said we want:

- Thick blue stripes
- Stripes all the way round
- Similar look to Porto/Deportivo

Its not hard!

Surely they could just keep the same shirt design but change the sponsor's logo if we were to have a different one next season?

The problem with this is that we can't just pick and choose our sponsor. I think the lack of stripes on the back is some kind of new regulation too, might be wrong there though.

Right...

As much as we would all like skint back, we cannot force them to give us money in exhange for advertising space on the front of the shirt. The club needs money and, at the end of the day, the shirt sponsor will always go to the highest bidder. IT first have another year's option, it will be interesting to see whether they take it if we get relegated.

We are in a multi-year contract with errea with at least 2 seasons left to run, as confirmed by insider on a few occasions (here for example).

I quite like errea because the alternatives worn by other league one clubs are terrible (joma, umbro, lotto, jako, vandanal, carbrini, diadora, carlotti). I doubt we would get a decent manufacturer (nike, adidas), although other clubs in league one do have butka and puma.

[edit] - I also like the fact that errea have always given us an individual template - nobody else in the league has the same template as us, and errea have only started using our template from the two previous seasons now we have finished with it. I doubt many other kit manufacturers would do that for us. Although I understand le coq sportif make individual templates for each club.

We need a new kit maker. errea are shite. And the sponsor goes all crackly every year and theyve changed the blue in the stripes and now it's just a white back and it looks stupid all in the middle etc.

Bring back Skint, on an adidas shirt with thick sky blue stripes.

totally agree we have been stuck with them for a couple of years but with a bit of pressure on mr jordan he has got nike in! god bless the orange one.

it also makes a big differance to the casual shirts etc

On another thread, The Large One has posted a shirt design - which got me thinking. If we took a break from the stripes for a few years, and chose to be radical, what could we do with the home kit design?

In a reworking of the 1964/5 Division Four season kit....

I really like the first 2, maybe use the second as the new away kit to replace the light blue one?

My 'Brighton' from the badge on the yellow and blue away kit has fell off, so it now says '& Hove Albion' now.

Anyone else had that problem?
