If you hadnt spotted, they had Leeds and Sheff Wednesday's wrong for weeks (now corrected).

Basically for us and as with them previously, they have added the extra game on, but not the attendance.

Was going to tell them, but cant find an email address.

I make it aggregate 102,827 and average of 25,706. Thats the best in this division and the 15th best in the country

... which, if sustained through the rest of the season, will result in our HIGHEST MATCH ATTENDANCE AVERAGE EVER beating 25,264 in 1977/78.

Well, ticket sales rather than attendance, but you know what I mean.

The new seats and a couple of sell outs, eg palace, should see us beat that comfortably over the course of the season.

i usually keep an eye on this website (Football365 - Football Stats - Football News, Views, Gossip and much more...) to look at attendance figures but it seems they have ours wrong, the average is 19k and our capacity is still 22k, they have a mistake somewhere...

what is our current home average?

The capacity is out of date but that's a different problem.

Look at the Brighton record and you will see the attendance for Saturday is listed as "--,---"

Their software has treated this as a zero and so the average attendance has been calculated as (25,518 + 24,594 + 26,594 + 0)/4 = 19,176.5. They have kindly rounded this up to 19,177.

So that's where the mistake comes from !

And unless Leeds get on a real roll, I reckon we should keep highest average attendance in division, underpinned by our unrivalled season ticket sales.

That 365 always has the attendance stats wrong. Most of the other websites seem to have the correct ones.

Does it really matter ? I don't really get the current obsession with wanting to whack off over average attendance figures. There's only one table that matters and that's the one that says how many points we have on the board not how many people saw us get those points. Maybe it's just me though.

The bigger the attendance the more money coming in. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Yes I do. Down a blind alley. Of course we all want high attendances. It helps the teams performances, helps create an atmosphere, & brings revenue into the club. But being top of an attendance league doesn't in itself matter. Would you rather have an average gate of 24k and be top of the attendance league or 25k and be only half way up it.

I know i'd choose the latter. If you would aswell, then my point is still very valid.

Not atall. What have i said that makes you think that ? So i take it that your answer to my question would be different from mine then ? So by your reasoning you'd rather we had less money coming in as long as we were top of an almost meaningless league ? Brilliant.
