This is clearly made up. The A26 and Cuilfail Tunnel are maintained by ESCC, not the Highways Agency so there is no reason for the Highways Agency to get involved in this. Also, if this were true, it is likely that the Environment Agency would also be involved in any investigation given the proximity to the river.

So you're saying it was 5g that killed them?

Apparently all caused by a Lewes lorry driver who was testing his eyesight before going back to long distance driving. Footage of him driving on the wrong side of the road was deemed understandable as he thought he was in France. Mr Cummings is looking forward to resuming driving everyone barmy tomorrow.

The Highways Agency found over 200 dead crows in the Cuilfail Tunnel approach recently... 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with lorrys, while only 2%...

They seem pretty quick to rule out natural ocurances in those parts. It could have been an avalanche for all we know.
