I was brought up around St Paul's Cray and St Mary's Cray - don't know how much it's changed but might be worth a look and would have thought the prices were comparable

Well, a LOT has changed, wouldn't touch ether with a barge pole, a 20 mile long barge pole (information gleaned from 5 years living in Orpington).

oh dear - sounds like i should be glad I never went back :)

Well, it is just full of social housing with no definable centre, therefore no community services and nothing for people to do, and both back on to industrial estates/big new shopping parks. as house prices as an indicator, a 2 bed flat in either of the crays would be worth about £100k less than a 2 bed flat in orpington, which is only 1-2 miles away.

Sorry but I still can't comprehend why ANYONE would consider moving to South London from ant of the nicer Southern Counties. It just makes no sense.
 




Don't forget if you move to the Norwood area to buy a moped and half bury it in the front garden for that authentic SE25 look.
