Lerma, Johnson and Holding.
So from your ACTUAL ideal starting XI, you are missing Johnstone (GK), Ward (RB) and Doucore (CM)? Lerma maybe, though he's possibly back tonight anyway. Edouard, you could argue for, but Mateta has scored in three straight games, so hard to imagine Edouard would be in ahead of him now?

By the same token, the Albion are 'only' missing Veltman (RB), Estupinan (LB), March (RM), and Enciso (AM) from a dream XI. Their absences are rather exacerbated though, by their likely replacements ALSO being out injured.

I'm leaving in about half an hour. I'm starting to become a bit more positive. Forgetting what this match is for a minute,we have been very good away from the Amex this season. We got 7 points at Marseille, Ajaz and Athens.
We have a genuine talent in the making in Pedro, who is starting to become the guy for the big occasion.
Mitoma is still scary if you're the oppo.
Gimour is class and getting better.
Gross is Gross.
Our fit defenders are very good. I think we might play 3 at the back tonight. I also think that Hinch might start.

What I do NOT want to see is Milner up against Olise.

I'd Argue that Fati would also feature in that Dream 11

If you like - but you can't count Lamptey AND Veltman as missing from the starting XI. There's no chance they both play.

Very possibly, but again, I have considered Enciso and March as being missing from the XI. If Fati does make it, one of those (probably Julio) doesn't.

(It's why I mentioned that not only were a handful of starters missing, but so are their obvious replacements).

Very flat on here today, no LUZZING reports, not much excitement. Complacency or just everyone at work?

This is their biggest match this season.

We’ve already played 6 bigger games with at least two more to come.

Not very confident…… think it will be a complete shithouse performance from them. We’ll have a zillion missed chances and they grab a winner on the counter on 89 with Eze…..
Who knows though 🤷‍♂️

I feel completely nonplussed about tonight's game, and I know others I've mentioned this to have said they feel exactly the same.

I don’t know if it’s our amazing European adventures, that we’re so mich better than them in all regards, that we are missing half a team or simply Christmas going on, but I can’t get up for it at all.

And, even if they win, it doesn't change the story: we've progressed far beyond them at the current time. Whilst I don't doubt that will change - these things tend to be cyclical - it is likely to take a while.

Chatted to the guy behind me post Marseille game, he goes to most away games and was quite enthused about tonight, I just couldn’t muster anything at all….no doubt 8pm tonight that’ll change but right now having just finished work for Christmas, laying down on the sofa has more appeal

I was only responding to a poster who said we only had two injuries, not trying to have a game of injury top trumps. :)

im not sure where you get the idea that Mateta has scored in three straight games when he’s only scored two all season in the league.
