Trossard can't pass tonight (at least to an Albion player), Propper can't shoot, we are absolutely woeful in the final third - apart from that we look superb and in total control. You just know how this is going to end........

Bit difficult when you play a team with 9 players defending the box.

But agree, just need a little bit quality in that final third.

****ed over by Var.

That is horrible, how can it only be 0-0? I'm now feeling more nervous than at kick-off. We've totally dominated. A special shout out for Bissouma who is playing like a beast in midfield. We just need Trossard to start finding his teammates.
If we lose from here it will ruin my Christmas.

65% possession at half time but missing that killer pass.

Sure place will place more of a part second half and open it up abit.

Trossard seems reluctant to take Kelly on at any opportunity, maybe not fully fit?

The Gross turn is now too obvious, Alzate on for gross would be my call

Words fail me...

As for VAR - if Montoya doesn’t get the shot away they give it - all about opinions which is SHOULD NOT BE. Also, David Beckham was sent off in 98 for less than that Zaha kick out - barely looked at I guess.

But as for the game... how we aren’t 2 or 3 up I’ll never know...

Sky says should have been a pen. What is the point of var if they're not going to give that? Ridiculous.

I was looking to Propper to step up massively with the absence of Dale and christ has he.

Fantastic half from everyone. Shame we’re not in front.

I cannot understand why that wasn't a penalty. Superb team performance but we were robbed there.

a galaxy far far away
Palace's tactics are to deny us any space in behind, which is successfully nullifying Maupay but is allowing us a lot of time and space to knock it around on the edge of the box.

Will we be able to pick our way through or will Palace mug us on the counter?

This match is as fascinating as it is thrilling. (I'm thrilled anyway)

With the makeshift back 4 and the possession we have had I'm a bit peeved that we haven't managed to find that killer ball in the final 3rd.
I'm sure Potter will sort that out as we have been so superior in that half.

When Sky's analysts are giving us decisions, you know they must be nailed on

Player clearly tripped in the box. Definite penalty. What a farce. In another game, that would be given. I thought VAR was meant to end inconsistency.

And the Benteke elbow on Dunk.

Even FC Liefering looked better than Palace and we played them in pre-season.

What a half!! Fantastic performance, keep going like that and we will grind them down.

And a midfield exhibition from Propper. Any young player who wants to be a midfielder needs to watch a replay of that half. His appreciation of space and passing were sublime. His body shape when he recieves the ball is also the key, a masterclass in the position.

It's just a shame he can't shoot.
