That's got to be concerning for them.

If they can't make a little 'Pin Money' each year with all the Premier League TV income...

Thanks - to me this is where football is going wrong. It is basically cheating (that applies to all teams).
When the money disappears what are we left with?

Blackburn, Bolton... theres a few examples isnt there? but shouldnt it partially come from the fans and their expectations? its not a simple solution practically or legally, frameworks likely to succeed in protecting clubs from over spend is a franchise model with strict controlled rules of membership, and do we really want that? (and i think some US sports franchises have had financial problems too so probably not a perfect solution either)

Their losses will surely mount in the 2018/19 accounts, due to the loss of precious matchday income from the shouty ninjas.

Any chance of a geek version? A bit more detail than the short version, but not quite full on dullard. A summary, if you will.

Take a look at my reply to Rory. At the end of the day Palace’s strategy of spending a lot on wages and player signings has kept them in the Premier League.

I’m a ‘bit dim’ according to the Palace BBS and the loss is only £33 million apparently. Must be my bad arithmetic I guess. I subtracted £189m from £150m to calculate the loss pre player sales and incorrectly got it to £39m. Stupid me :dunce::dunce:

El Pres, do you know how much, if anything, the owners took out?
