Nope - it’s called ‘where the line is’ for myself and many. All for being open and human rights but not going to defy science and start bowing to attention seekers myself. If you go trans and change your genitals as an adult then def ok to be a she or he in my opinion - before then, nah. Each to their own.
And how would you check that ? Never understood why people care what anyone wants to be called. My brother doesn’t use his first name on his birth certificate, does anyone insist on using his given name ? No

Whatever Izzard identifies as doesn't mean I have to accept or recognise it. Gender identity is a new fashionable concept people seem to love jumping on board. There are plenty of things people want me to believe or accept that I don't have to and this is one of them, it's my right to disagree and refuse to recognise. In any case Izzard is a dirty Palace fan and has shit dress sense, so ideally qualified to convince the right-on Pavilion ward voters to sway the vote to Labour.

Just because you have posted that load of old bollocks doesn't mean you have a right to deny people their gender identity.

I wonder how many people thought the gay rights movement in the 80s/90s was just a fashionable concept people loved jumping on board

So what do you want... another Tory government? Spreading snide comments like "Tory in a red tie" should certainly help. Funding for the things you care about was delivered by the Blair government, particularly for education. And it's naive that you reckon Izzard could have the power to deliver those funding programmes if elected. She could support them of course.
I thought it was quite clear from my question.

As capitalism has failed this country yet again, I would like a real socialist government. Less private ownership of healthcare, utilities and transport. Money being invested in the state rather than topping up the investment accounts of shareholders. Adequate funding for schools, hospitals, mental health services. Policies designed to promote equality of opportunity for every child born or raised in this country. A Labour government under Starmer will be far from that.

Don't be so ridiculous. Eddie Izzard is a bloke. He was born with a penis. If he wants to dress like a girly that's up to him, but he's still a he.
I saw Him/Her/They in Tesco Express in Meads, Eastbourne a couple of years ago (in full make up and a dress) - and I can wholeheartedly say that Mr Izzard should either ditch the Ladywear, or get some serious make up tips. He looked like Worzel Gummidge with lipstick on.

And I expect Izzard wasn't too impressed by your stained track-suit pants and Wet Wet Wet T-shirt...

On her website, Izzard said she wanted to become an MP for Brighton "to support this brilliant city and its diverse and vibrant community."
She said: "Labour needs a candidate that can inspire many thousands to become our friends and allies in the fight for a fairer, greener, cleaner planet."

If you support Palace, you can't champion the virtues of Brighton surely....

Thoughts.....
Yes you can, I have just spent a day at hove watching Sussex get a lesson on how to play 50 over cricket, but I love watching Sussex play at home.

I have a few gigs coming up in Brighton and love the towns music scene ( although not as good as it was)

It’s a vibrant city by the sea…well most of it, and I enjoy a day / evening in Brighton I can’t see be supporting Palace should effect that.

Falmer on other hand…what a dump 😀

Yeah but I don't think Izzard gives a toss about Palace really. Everyone goes through phases that looking back they are embarrassed about...

How lovely, another thread of hundreds of comments where old out-of-touch guys get angry about trying to give people basic respect.

Gender identity is similar to a name, if someone introduced themselves as John you wouldn't suddenly start calling them Peter because it's your right to call them Peter, would you? It's a little odd. If someone introduced themselves as female it's also odd to call them 'he'.
