27000 paid, thats all that counts and that how palace do their attendances as well. Th rest, well, I'm not sure you are Sussex born, bred and had relatives drilling on the Soldstone during WW1 like me and so well, you wouldnt understand.

No, no it isn't the point. I know at least two STHs who are spurs fans but live in mid Sussex so, when our new stadium went up, bought STs as an investment for when Brighton go up to plat "proper" teams...they don't bother going most weeks...the harrowing drive from Ditchling or Hassocks being the issue!..

27,000 sold is just a number. Supporting the team, the club and the soul of Brighton and Hove Abion is the " point ". I am a relatively long distance traveller to home games, from Leigh in Sea, but some travel a LOT further and it makes my heart sink that there's empty seats sold to utter pricks all over the place when I'd rather POTD fans with no cash for an ST were in those seats singing their hearts out...but that's the game these days. Money talks.

Should be taken aside by a few Suedeheads and shown what a proper look and swagger is. But at least they dont have a drum. If they turned up with a drum then should be banned for life from the Albion and sent to join your bunch of Harry Potters with their drum.
Yeah, the drum would drown out the clackers.

When you have over 75 league grounds on your cv following your club then your opinion might start to count. The best ive heard is a palace fan with 45, he only has 30 more to do, how about you? You know you wouldnt take 400 to Chesterfield never mind 4000 as you all went missing in Championship, never mind you you were in the lower leagues. Palace? Mullers was right, not worth a fiver as they are flexible friends.

I have done 88 grounds. You talk shit.

WCP is a wind up account remember folks, but he is one of ours (though Chelsea are welcome to him).

It is very normal to have people who support other clubs turn up at other grounds. Look, there are about 10,000 premier league fans who have now turned up at Selhurst this year who were not there for a midweek game in the championship despite groupon deals last season. Leaving palace aside, I pop down to my local sides in London every now and again, whether it be Orient, Millwall, West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, whoever. All clubs record the gate as Brighton do and Brighton are the best supported team in the division and had 27000 pay to watch Brighton v Barnsley before Christmas. Palace had 13000 for midweek games with groupon deals in the Championship last season. Now if ou think that Palace and their barmy drum bangers are great supporters then I just ask you, "where were they last season" and that was the Championship, never mind second from bottom of the football league with the ground sold and about to be homeless. Brighton have mostly had lower league teams but the best support in the division they are in. Palace sometimes have top flight teams, but when they are in the Championship they go missing. They are the flexible friends and that does not make a good support, quite the reverse.

The difference is that palace fans choose to turn up with a drum, clackers were a marketing gimmick, done once by a misguided club official. Now where have your extra 10,000 midweek fans come from this season down at Selhurst and do you still need groupon 2 for 1 deals to get people to watch or has all that changed now you are in the top flight? "Where were you when you were shit" has to be the chant at Palace. Was it 14000 you got for us for a midweek fixure this or last season, that with a sold out 3000 away end. American Express really should sponsor Crystal Palace, they could just do photos of Selhurst in the Championship as against the top flight with "Flexible Friends" written underneath

Wcp , another serious question
Can you explain to me why you didn't sell out the withdene every home game ? I believe the capacity was approx 7000 and making allowances for away fans non attenders this is not good against your argument .
Bearing in mind you were finally home and in fact nearer to Brighton than you are now ! Next one ,once the Amex was completed and opened your attendances increased threefold can you explain this ? Flexible friends ? Finally as you have been to 70 odd games inc chesterfield , did that include gillingham and the withdene arena ? Be honest even if it's too dry to be palatable .

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to work out why people didn't go to Withdean.
