Looks like this deal could include players going the other way.

A couple of things for you from the above article. March and Ferguson are off the table so don’t get your bloody hopes up. However, there is some real quality in that list which should help you smash the Championship if you play nice nicely and help us get the deal done.

However, if we are to loan you a player again, you need a sea-change in attitude. It’s not going to happen if we think all the BW nonsense will occur again. Keep your chip off your shoulder, your pie in your pocket and your bloody mouth shut and you might get a diamond from us again.
I wouldn’t read too much into the idea of players going the other way. That article feels like it is written from a Leeds fans perspective, rather than any inside knowledge. I’m sure they’d love to take Solly & Ferguson! 😅

There are some names on the list which just won’t happen. However, there are some that could be possibilities.
BBB, Sarmiento and even Rushworth are possibilities.
Evan Ferguson…. They are having a laugh.
It does look like this is a possible incoming.

i still cant get my head around why we need this guy. As good a player as he may be..

We are heavily stocked in wide and attacking players IMO
Are we??? Last year, we finished the season with Adingra as our only genuine pacy wide player. Sounds like Mitoma will be back and fit, but we really need some depth here if only to give us options from the bench to bring on fresh legs against tiring defenders.

This season we should have:
Mitoma, March, Adingra and Osman. We were incredibly unlucky that both March and Mitoma were out for so long. I would say signing Summerville as a bonus rather than a necessity. With signing Summerville I suppose we may see March deployed as wing back also.

March could be the issue, second ACL operation on the same knee, that’s hard to come back from and perform at PL levels
That would be my suspicion too. There's no way we can see how he's progressing and it will need to be seen whether the latest injury affects his performance. Plus we might lose Mitoma.

Seems a very un-Brighton signing.
Cost is probably at or very close to peak so not much in the way of future added value.
Clearly very talented and a future full international but questions about whether he’s a one-man band rather than a team player.

Purely in terms of skill he’s a good addition, especially if Mitoma moves on, but won’t be overly upset if we get outbid.
He’s still very young 10 goals and six assists in the PL doubles his value. How much would you say Pedro would cost now? £60-70m rough estimate

I also think Enciso is super effective off the left flank, but anyone who can rotate in the front three will be valuable. Osman really excited me though, he looks like he could be a total monster given time.

A front three made up of any three from Mitoma, March, Adingra, Osman, Enciso, Buonanotte, Pedro, Welbeck, Ferguson and maybe even Mazilu looks very exciting indeed

Yes, it's almost certainly a Leeds supporting journo flying a kite, but it does raise an interesting question - who will we be selling, releasing or loaning out this summer? Sarmiento, Buonanotte, our future England GKs? ......plus a number of youngsters probably needing loans.

I’m not sure that we can bank on Osman making the squad yet. Whilst clips indicate he has a very high window, there is still a rawness in his game. A season’s loan at somewhere like Leeds or USG might do him the world of good.

Its v.rare these days - certainly with Albion transfers . I can't think where its happened in the last 10 years where a player has gone in the opposite direction to sweeten the deal etc.
There's also nothing in any reporting so far - however concrete our interest in Summerville - and nothing in the article either that indicates that this is something thats either likely or we'd consider or something Leeds would want.
So in which case its merely a list of 8 slightly random squad players who might/might not be on the fringe of the squad next season and might/might not be loaned/sold. Fun to see the depth of the squad though !!

If we sign any kind of forward player it will shirley be a RW. We have plenty of lone strikers, inverted left wingers and in the hole behind a striker, types. Lots who can do well in a couple of those roles, yet last season we were struggling for anyone natural on the right be they a cut inside or a go to the byline type. FH used a RW not an inverted player on the right as well so everything points to that one gap in the forward third of the pitch in terms of squad.

If we do make a big splash signing, and equalliny or exceeding our record ever spend would be just that, we could try to tempt them with the likes of Sarmiento. To us worth 15M but likely to only get stupid 5M offers. Leeds seem to want 40M (some of it as add ons) not 30M which sounds more realistic. Perhaps there's a deal there or for another squad player we'd like to keep for depth but who wants to go somewhere and start regularly or at the least get regular football. He's had a good season in the Champ on loan at Ipswich no?
Only went to Ipswich because West Brom weren't giving him gametime ?
