Was I blaming the government? It was YOU who said Labour were to blame and who brought politics into this.

You called me a "f***ing moron" for saying that violent crime increased under the Tory government, when according to the statistics it is in face true. It's the measurement all politicians use - check the home office website.
Give it a f***ing rest you cock. So if Labour was in power this wouldn't of happened??? Go away and spout your political bullshit elsewhere

I also agree its not political, but you can't turn away from the fact, services. all services had to be cut, otherwise the country was going bust. There is no money in the pot. We have no gold reserves to bail us out. We have no strong pound to bail us out. We had to cut services, because we dont have the money to pay for them. Therefore the only way we can live over the next few years in within our means. A strange concept to some, but thats life.

Thats why i think they current governement need to order in the troops, an declare Martial Law, and shoot some of the little *****. The only way out of this is a very very hard clampdown. But the new governement is as weak on law and order as the last ramble.

If they are not very very careful, this will see the raise of the extreme right. And this weeks trouble I dont think has anything to do with race, but if its not stamped out now, then all hell could break loose in this country, and thats why the government has to stamped it out tonight, and stamp is out very very hard

Do you really think shooting them (I assume you mean with fatal bullets) will help? Surely that would just make them even more angry and cause more of them to revolt.

Shooting protesters/rioters in middle-eastern countries didn't exactly quiten them down did it? (I appreciate that the issues were a bit different there)

I agree that something needs to be done, but I don't think resorting to that sort of punishment will stop them; infact i think it will make things much worse.

That Sky reporter Mark Stone deserves a medal. God, he's got some balls!

The videos he's posting confronting the looters and asking them if they are proud of themselves! MS: "What are you doing?" Looter" "Taking back our taxes, innit"

– Yeah, taking back your taxes in the form of a few electrical goods from Currys Digital. Genius.

No, I'm not saying that at all. Where have I said that exactly? Once again, you miss the point completely. What is happening is mindless thuggery and has nothing to do with politics.

It was YOU who first started spouting political bullshit, as anyone who actually reads this thread would be able to see. I'm just sick of the Tories promoting themselves as the "party of law and order", when if you actually look at the figures the opposite it true.

And where the hell are Cameron, Clegg and Boris Johnson when their leadership is actually needed?

Jeez, you are tiresome. This is you...

1. It's nothing to do with politics.
2. This is the fault of the Conservatives.
3. Goto 1.

Well if Newsnight is to be believed then Clegg has been standing on a street in Tottenham churning out words whilst saying nothing.

Yes I do. We are totally a different kettle of fish to the middle east. Death in the middle east is the norm. Bring the army onto the streets here, now and at the first rumblings of this happening in the future, 99% of the little fucks will be crying hiding under their quilts.

These people are not fighting a cause. These people dont have political views. These people are f***ing idiots who think they are untouchable and are out having "fun", so yes I do think shooting some of the ring leaders would greatly help in this case

When did I say that? I have never said that! I was making a point that far from being the party of law and order, as they would have you believe, violent crime actually increases under the Tories. That has NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE RIOTS, OK?

Mr Burns said it was the fault of Labour, why don't you quote him?

I'm going to shamelessly steal the comment my sister-in-law has just made on Facebook. Just about sums it up perfectly for me:

"In other countries people protest/riot for political freedom - how is it that in England people are doing it to nick a few televisions, satnavs, designer shell suits and crates of beer. I feel a deep sense of shame for what has become of my country."

Beautifully put.

The television images would suggest to the rest of the world now that England is less Adam Smith's 'nation of shopkeepers' and more a nation of shoplifters.

Not the country that I remember. So much for the buy-in to a Big Society for the benefit of all.
