What an overreaction.

As far as I'm concerned he had this coming. Surprised it was a Stingray though.

Nobody needed that post to realise what an utter **** you are. Your avatar says it all. Absolute tosser.

RIP Steve, you will be remembered fondly by millions. Because of you kids are now showing a great deal more interest in Nature & conservation. :(

I always thought he was somehow invulnerable and it just brings home how fragile life is.

Although to be fair, his life was somewhat more fragile than most as he spent his time jumping on crocodiles.

Nobody needed your post to realise what a prick you are. But it helped.

I'm sorry but what exactly is controversial about suggesting that someone who diced with death on a daily basis had it coming?

i think it was the phrase " had it coming".

I think in hinesight, more appropriate would have been " was more likely to cop it than most"

Not really sure this is a thread for laughing smilies. Totally inappropriate if you ask me. Like a said above, do Fireman "Have It Coming", do policeman "Have It Coming"? They all dice with death on a daily basis for the benefit of others. No they dont.

So I'm now pleased he died? Nice one, nevermind that I never said and in fact said the opposite (see above) it still proves your stupid little point.

By the way, I have already received a joke e-mail about Irwin. It wasn't funny. I dare say loads of other people on here have got it too. Why not set up a webpage voicing your disgust at this, instead having a go at someone who merely suggested that playing with fire got you burnt?

No, your initial post was talking about over-reaction to someones death. Basically says to me that you dont care or that people shouldnt care as much as they do, I'm sure his wife & 2 kids care.

But I kind of mean 'had it coming'. I like that man cannot conquer nature and I don't like it when people pretend they can. It's like those people who sail around the world. Cop it in an Atlantic storm and my sympathy will be limited. It's the risk you take. You can't even say bad luck.

So again, is your "sympathy limited" when a fireman dies trying to save someone from a burning building?

And then someone posts it.

Watch out CTS, here comes a death threat.

It's human nature to make jokes at a time of tragedy... that is normal. What isn't normal is saying things like "he had it coming". Anyway, I'm not sure it's worth arguing with you - won't achieve anything I suppose

I think that is slightly different.....a fireman doesnt deliberately set alight to a building to be able to run into it to save someone, as opposed to Steve Irwin who would jump onto a crocodiles tail!

Again though...it is very sad
