I'm sitting here watching SSN, they then report he is unhappy because he doesn't think he's earning enough money.

What an absolute twat.

He did say today it isn't actually anything to do with the money issues, but he will continue to be professional and give his all for Real.

If he's lying and it is about the money, then yeah, he's a twat. But it could be so many things that make him 'sad' so I'd rather not speculate on something I know little about.

I think he's unhappy about the ambition being shown at Real. He hates that Iniesta beat him to the "Best Player in Europe" award, he thought that was his after last season and the Euros but Iniesta beat him to it rather than Messi. His pride his hurt, that's it. Nothing to worry about, he'll be happy enough. I find it hard to feel sorry for Ronaldo.

He isn't going to admit that he'd like more money because then he'd make a complete twat out of himself. He's saying he's unhappy because he'd like a better contract in my opinion.

He demanded £12,000,000 a year in his contract talks, so i guess he is lying... Someone of his ability is only interested in the pay day, hence moving to RM from MU.

As much as it's tough to feel for anyone earning christ knows what.

If he's not the second highest paid player on the planet, he is probably right.

But that says more about how ridiculous top flight football is, and all who sail in her.

He's under contract 'till 2015 and there's a buyout clause for..... 1 billion euro's. No wonder he's not happy, he's not in a very strong position for the moment.

Was watching a program on Sky earlier, might have been revista la liga or something, they mentioned that his release clause is £1BILLION, absolutely ridiculous.

Has this thread turned in Austin Powers where Dr Evil is negotiating a ransom.

I wonder how the Spanish taxpayers will take to him. What is the unemployment rate in some regions, 20%?

A crass way to engineer more money, when I would imagine he is exceedingly wealthy already.

Anyone else heard the suggestions that he's sad due to it being the 7th anniversary of his father's death? I believe it's tomorrow. I can only speak for myself, but that'd certainly play on my mind, rich or not.

A great talent, pity it comes with show pony histrionics and tantrums, he should be able to go back to Madeira and live like a king by now anyway. Pathetic

He's unhappy PLAYING for Madrid though, if this were the reason then I could understand.
