Chino's penalty cracked open the box of FLAIRerro Rocher's, and spoiled us all

That 's the most LUDICROUS slice of word-play silly biz I've heard in many a month.

Top Bombing Mr M.

Looks good when you score. Seem to remember some French bloke trying it for Leicester in the play off final shoot out last season and missed. Looked a total twat.

The thing is that there is a massive difference in circumstance. Chino's was to beat Woking for a 2nd Round tie against FC United, not one with a £60m pay-day at risk...

Personall, I loved it.

I personally thought Baz “took the piss” with that last penalty which was unnecessary and will never see him the same light again, that will always taint him as far as I’m concerned.

Woking did not deserve that.

Finding it difficult to understand the outpouring of admiration for one of our player mocking a lower league team

Its not like Baz has actually done anything of significance since he has been here to warrant such arrogance.

When done to a team higher than you yes, I follow that but the other away around ?

Maybe it an age thing, as my son thought it was the best thing he has seen in a long time and it was “flair” .

Not looking to be confrontational, just would like to get my head around it (oh err misses) and understand ?

are you on a wind up, it wasnt a piss take at all. It was a good penalty, the keeper committed so he rolled it in.

It was an enormous risk and only looked good because it went it - had he missed the penalty then this thread would have been longer and full of complaints. ???

Was never in doubt, he gave the keeper the eyes and rolled the ball in cool as you like

How was it a piss take? the Keeper committed himself earlier and all Baz did was poke it down the middle

But isn't that the same with most penalties? If the keeper saves it people talk about how it "was the right height", "why didn't he just blast it", "too casual". If it goes in it was a "brave" or "confident" or even "perfect" penalty, with the only difference being which way the keepeer dives.

Good point, well made!

Pants in twist + cumming over nothing alert.

Lets get this right.

It was a clever penalty that when they work look brilliant. The shittest player in the world can take a good penalty though so lets not reach for the Klenex just yet.

In games when it matters he has still to fufill potential.

I think he looks better than Battipiedi but neither are spectacular or staking a claim to start yet.

Spot on! Except I'm not sure either of them have the potential to play an important role in a promotion campaign. They really don't look any better than most of the players we have let go over the last couple of years and if they had been signed by Slade or Adams people on here would be slaughtering the managers for bringing them in. If we have to rely on them, we will not go up! Just because they are foreign doesn't make them any good.

However, maybe I'm missing the point and you flair worshipers are just being ironic?

Ability and flair are two very different things. In fact, not being quite good enough but still attempting (and occasionally producing) moments of genius is one of the cornerstones of flair itself.
