Anderson was quite some talent. Especially post 30 years. I agree about some of the quicks.

Often some of the best bowlers have been dull. Mcgrath was an example.

For me, it's about some of the best bowlers that never were. Chris Tremlett was one of the best I have seen. He finally peaked briefly in Australia in THAT series. He had everything, but injuries just kept coming. Shane Warne said he was best fast bowler he had seen.

One of my favourite cricket moments ever

I think if I was asked who the best fast bowler I have ever seen it might be Malcolm Marshall. Every batsman was a wicket waiting to happen. The Windies team of that era had just about the best of everything. With only England and Australia, perhaps, challenging them in the wicket keeper department.
And he always smiled. Just loved playing.

Best trip i ever went on in March 23 .Did both tests in Maunganai and Wellington where after 5 days Nz won by 1 run 2 hours before our flight to Auckland . oh to have seen a tied game . Never recovered properly money wise 6k all in . Would i do it all again ? Definatly still get emotional about it 21 days taking in Nam ,NZ and Malaysia .

Yes just after Jimmy had dispatched a four and the kiwis who'd been giving it large for an hour before got it back in spades. They had the last laugh but handshakes all round at the end . Just a wonderful place to watch Cricket .

That was a load a shit. I seem to recall people on NSC looking at what a great contest it was, while I was just pissed off we were cheated.

Absolutely. I've now watched every ball faced by Bethell in his test career, and my mind is blown. We were promised a carefree white ball kind of guy, but instead we've got the most sublime technique in attack and defence. Can't say I've seen many a pull shot or straight drive (from a left hander) played so cleanly, with power and arrogant authority. That was some innings today. Brook is all hand-eye coordination and supremely quick hands, whilst Bethell is about technique and playing the ball as late as possible. I'm purring.
Exactly how I felt (having watched most, not all). Was expecting another T20 slogger but he’s a proper batsman with the technique to actually bat top 3 as well. So exciting.
