Agreed. But the Bazball approach must compound the problem. You can't be treating spin bowling with the respect it deserves, especially in the subcontinent, whilst simultaneously trying to score at 6 runs an over. The number of recent 'bowled out in under 40 overs' instances says a lot.
Remember this series against Pakistan in 2012?
Lost 3-0, one of England's, best ever batting line ups made to look hopeless against Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman.

Or this one in 2015? Lost 2-0, Yasir Shah top wicket taker with 15 wickets in the two matches Pakistan won.

There are always valid criticisms of the way individual batters get out, but this really isn't a bazball problem.

and for not being English...
That's pretty much always been optional when it comes to England selection, hasn't it?

Obviously not ideal given the difficulties the West Indies have, but if there's one type of player they're probably not short of it's talented hitters who can earn a fortune playing t20 instead of test matches.

I'm never particularly keen on England picking anybody not from either Sussex or Durham anyway.
