Three of England's top six average over 50 in Tests. Okay, two haven't played many, but I don't think that's happened since, maybe, I dunno. I can think of pairs in the same team that would have been averaging 50 at the time.

Two reviews... one given and going over, and the other not given and plumb. Not Paul Reiffel's finest 5 minutes.

Ben Duckett lbw b AM Fernando 18 (20b 2x4 0x6) SR: 90

I wonder if any Test match played at Old Trafford has never had a rain interruption ?
The glorious Ashes winning victory 0f 1981 !

It's one of the wettest, although Sydney, I think, has lost the most play over the years.

Are you sure ? :giggle:

Also perhaps the 2005 drawn Ashes match where Vaughan hit a big century and the Aussies scrapped a draw - I think that was sunny all 5 days.

Oh dear maybe 236 was a decent score after all. However as Sir Geoffrey always says "wait until both sides have batted until making a judgment"

As long as Root and Brook stay sensible, we should easily surpass the total.

On another note, I still can't believe the wicket of Chandimal. I'd be embarrassed by taking that.
