Creating a GERMAN style atmosphere

Best way to start the process would be to get all the singers in one block. Preferably this would be in the middle of the north stand to allow expansion either side without ticket prices increasing. A drum could also help, it's not been massively successful in England but if you look at any foreign club with a great atmosphere, they almost all use a drum.

Having been to a Galatasaray home game at their old ground, the Ali Sami Yen, I wholeheartedly say "this!" Deafening noise from start to finish.

It's a strange culture though - it seems they are more interested in making noise than the actual football, I got the impression many weren't even watching the game!

Another thing they do is buy CD's of Galatasaray songs - learn all the words that way. Can't imagine that ever working in our football culture though.

Many Turkish people use football as a way of letting off steam and get together and have a party pretty much. Passion runs deep and when the tickets are as cheap as they are anyone can get to the game attracting all the youngsters.

If Turkey\Greece tried to regulate what happens inside its stadiums there'd be huge clashs and fighting about it, its just there culture of football.

Imagine the Amex stewards trying to do there job in a Greek/Turkish stadium

Looking at those videos everything we need - we wouldn't be allowed to do. Health and Safety, Fire Certificates, Ground Regulations, Stadium Licences, Local Authority by-laws, League Directives, Acts of Parliament, etc etc etc. You name it, someone will quote some regulatory passage saying why your idea is a completely unacceptable part of the modern 'matchday experience'.

Never a truer word. And you've sadly yet to add 'fan making noise = troublemaker' in eyes of stewards who must have their quota per game in preparation for the night shift on the doors of pubs and clubs later.

Completely unworkable in England. We've been beaten into obedience by over zealous authorities in every walk of life.

Expensive tickets

Whilst passive smoking kills babies and small cute animals so that's banned to.
And you can't even be in sight of the pitch (in SIGHT!) with alcohol.

Apart from that, The national games are IDENTICAL. Except they mostly win and we mostly lose. But apart from that...

And to think we fought Germany to keep our liberty.

This, but their is good and their is bad, the palace muppets to add to their ridiculous goal music, and pantomime scorer announcements, think theyre drum sounds great but it really doesn't, its overly dominant and sounds shit, same as leicester. Derby County seemed to have it nailed spot on, they had a great atmosphere in both Play off game last season and this seasons league game at the ipro, and the drum was very subtle and barely audible, so all that was heard was their fans.

Our songs in the whole are slow and do not motivate any sort of passion. They are useful for having a sleep and slowing play down!!

I paid €26 at Leverkusen last week for a great seat, only €8 for my son.

A quick look at their website shows adult prices range from 65 to just 9 euros. Seems like you bought at the top end.

£50 for the best seat in the ground seems okay. £7 for a terrace ticket seems absurdly cheap; it's almost as though they're encouraging you to go.

I saw koln play was 20e. Your mate must have had the best seats in the house.

Most I've paid is 30e at frankfurt, but bought it last minute. They had tickets for around 18e.

Ha. I was at the same game (with 6 or 7 Albion ST holders on a stag-do) and also in with the Hertha fans.

That Gekas was rubbish wasn't he? He resurfaced at the last World Cup for Greece.
