Both of my parents were born and raised in Newhaven.
I still have a shed load of relatives living there now, some of whom post on here.

I loved Newhaven as a kid, my favourite days were the ones spent with numerous cousins on Newhaven beach.

I really don’t go there enough these days.

In all seriousness, I think Newhaven's fine. Town centre's a bit barren but sadly that's pretty common for towns that sort of size nowadays.
I'd certainly say that "living in Newhaven" wasn't anywhere near the top of my list of problems while growing up there.
Other people seem to have an issue with it, not us that live here.
I would move to Rodmell if I had the money, I could probably move there now but wouldn’t want a house/ cottage half the size.

What a lot of people don't get is how seriously violent the place is, on that measure I would prefer Whitehawk.
I remember seeing The Clash there in 1978. Don't think I've seen so much violence at a gig, the support act were attacked on stage and there were blokes going through the audience just randomly twatting people. Bloke standing near me, who was just minding his own business, got a Glasgow kiss for his trouble. Was glad to get of the place in one piece.

I tend to avoid the place as much as I can.

Aside from the dirty fouls, I was quite impressed with Crawley. The better side for periods, caused quite a few issues and quite surprised they didn’t score - although Bart was called into action quite a bit. 4-0 is flattering but I’ll take it. Minds now turn to tonight’s draw…
Not surprised they were the better side at times, our players were shitting it as they didn't want their legs broken 🤣

I see Newhaven as the Millwall of Sussex, no one likes us but we don’t care.
It’s a working class town, working port and full of industrial estates. Most people that live here aren’t up themselves, we all know it’s nothing special.

I'd happily move to Newhaven from Hove, though my wife less so!

Doxxing a teenage girl is the utter pits. Not sure there’s much of a high moral ground left there
She hasnt been doxxed. Her club and community coach were in her bio, which she subsequently amended.
Nobody has published her address. At 19, she is an adult, not a youth, so using the word girl is diminishing.
