I occasionally go to games at the Broadfield rather than pay £17 to get soaked in the rain for 2 hours at the withers!

Thats the equivalent of saying" Orient is £4 cheaper so i will support them". You my friend are not a fan and never will be so f*** OFF!

Harsh...the poster said occasionally, nothing about abandoning the Albion in favour of Crawley, there is a lot to be said for watching football undercover in the depths of winter.

I have been watching a local non-league team instead of the Albion for a couple of seasons, largely because of time and distance factors, but also in part because of the cost and not finding it particularly enjoyable watching football surrounded by people whinging and hurling abuse at the players...which has largely spoilt my enjoyment on visits to Withdean.

Think you need to read it again.

He said he would rather pay a fiver less to watch Crawley than the Albion, so distance doesn't come into it. Also as far as im concerned Crawley is also alot of Palace fans second team. The bloke can get f***ed!

I noticed the other night that Crawley had less than 1000 so less than half of the turn out for the glamour opener against the Mariners! Question is if they go up could they get the crowds to sustain league football. This is not meant to put them down but seriously what are their aspirations? The southern equivalent of Accrington Stanley? I just don't see where thousands of fans are going to materialise from.

Totally agree. They are stuck between us and Palace, I think this is an attempt to gain fans before Falmer takes most of Sussex away from them! I am worried for them, spending all this cash (presumably paying decent wages) on crowds as small as they have is very dangerous.

its a joke they have now made over 500k in cash signings and signed 17 players....we have spent 300k in cash signings and signed 6 on free transfers..we haven't sctually spent though as croft and dicko were sold for 500k in total and we got rid of 5 or 6 of our highest wage earners...can we please just sign someone...

Yes we're saving up for a £90 million stadium.

Also, Crawley will go bust at this rate. Brighton and Hove Albion are on a sound* financial footing.

*Thanks Tony. :amex:
