Got to say well done to Crawley (to whom I have an unnatural fondness of!).
By all accounts Crawley played really well. 3779 there of which 882 from Bristol.
With Bristol City returning to Sussex next week, I wonder whether they will find The Amex & BHA as such a difficult fixture?
Fully agree with what was said above.
From their Fanzine.......
We were a class above them, hit the inside of the post twice and had all the efforts on goal. All the lads can hold their heads up - every one played well. Fadz had his passing boots on today and was really solid in MF, and Davis and Mills marked their forwards out of the game.
The only surprise is they managed to hold it to 1-0.
I thought BC were really poor. Nothing from their big name players - Adomah was so bad he was taken off and Maynard was shackled by Davis and limited to the one chance in the first half that he put wide. Worth £3m? I wouldn't pay 10% of that.
Fair dos to BC fans who all said on the way out that we were the better side apart from one clown who said we should 'go back to the Conference where we belong'. I guess his half time grapes were a bit sour this week.
Let's hope for a good draw in the next round.
The only disappointments today were the crowd (less than 3,000 Crawley people there) and seeing the amount of income lost as the programmes at the north end were sold out by around 2.30 yet again. Dozens of BC fans (literally) moaning about it.
