Not the first time we let a player go who not always got the end product and for them to go and be a great success for another club.

Good player, and a top bloke.

I was told we got 1.8 million for him, and seeing as we had at the time 3 wingers and only ever played one of them, it was probably a good move for all.

I wish him well.

Didn't mind to see him go, wasn't THAT good for us, a bit inconsistent and his crosses never found anyone. The reported £1.6m was good business from our point of view. Obviously he's gone on to show his potential which maybe shows the shortcomings of our manager and/or system.

He is one of that rare breed too as he seems to appreciate where he has come from and how lucky he is. he gave up his own time to give out prizes to all our young seagull supporters teams and even took my boy's football training once. Great to see him giving it back to the Palace fans recently too! Top bloke!

Very true. Not one of the 'only ever been a footballer' types, a down to earth bloke who hasn't forgotten where he's come from.

Should never have let him go. The twats on here who harked on about "no end product" should take a long hard look at themselves.

Noone expects the Spanish inquisition.

Apparently.

Good buy for you. I really hope you don't get promoted though. I really can't stand your fans at the best of times. No offence to you personally fella but the way some of your f***ing clowns go about you shouldnt be surprised that you're loathed in this division only slightly less than dirty Leeds.

Making us sit behind at your ground after giving us a pants down spanking and playing YMCA, I will survive and other gay anthems might have cheered up your PA boyos but it didn't impress our travelling support.

Somewhere near Reading...
He is a great lad and I was extremely sad to see him go, but more because he was a fan favorite than a key player. It was evident he had talent, and that talent seems to have shone more with you lot than it did with us. He seems to be doing superbly with you, so the bet of luck to him (and you). Good to see him score in a win over palace!

Sorry but I just can't help laughing at that bit I put in Bold!

Some of our fans think they're hardcore and take it too far I do agree with you on that. At the end of the day when I was at the Amex last season we had a good bit of banter going with some of your lads. But as always there is a line!

Cardiff fan here coming in peace!
Nooney was a great buy. He has got five goals and eight assists for us so far and he is tearing defenders apart! Brilliant signing!

I was just coming on here to ask:

1) What did you all think when he was going to leave?
2) Are you glad he left
and
3) How do you think he is doing at Cardiff?

Be good to hear your opinions!:)

1. Gutted he left. A vocal minority on here have conveniently said since that they never rated him anyway and he never had an end product.

2. I'm fully aware that he's been fantastic for Cardiff.
