Great bloke, tried hard, good first touch but easily knocked off the ball and true about end product.

Did you know he did Gerrads roof, sure that will be in the meet Noone section of the programme.

Good luck to him and you.

He really looks the part - nimble and tricky, shreds defenders and could be an outstanding asset for Cardiff.
His product can be frustrating, & it can be fantastic. I believe he needs to strike a rapport between himself and the forwards and it could pay dividends

I was always sure that one day he would do a Maradona-style goal for us, waltzing past four players and rolling the ball into an empty net but sadly it never happened.

Excellently put Sir! He often looked as though he could do something like that, but sadly, never did. Did like watching him play though and wish him well.

I think we all liked Nooney, but the money meant we could strengthen elsewhere. You're happy, we're happy, Nooneys happy. Its all good

Sums it all up very nicely without the need to devalue Nooney.

Not rubbing in it but what a debut from craig noone,he was different class, cant believe we got him for 1 mill.the left back from wolves will be having nightmares, but also his workrate,he didnt stop working.is there a reason he got sold, ive only watched him 3 times and everytime he was best player in pitch.good luck for rest of season.

which suggests you're not as good as I thought you were  I kind of think you'll finish above us, but then I remember that Malky Mackay is your manager, so maybe not.

Very good at taking on a beating defenders getting in a great position, then wafting over a soft cross with no power. His corners were the same. He'll be great if he learns to whip it in, but the end product was often easy to defend against. I liked him at the Albion when he was good, but Cardiff paid the right price, good business I think.

I think any over excited Cardiff fans should watch the Swindon game from the start of this season for a sobering come down!

Liked Nooney - prefer Dobbie, Orlandi, Hammond and Lopez.

And Buckley, lualua & Vicente. That's 7 players I'd choose over noone. (although Hammond would require a shift in formation as he can't play as a winger.)

On his day he is a really good player, but unfortunately that is not very often, you will find his end product is also very indifferent, likes to take on players and most times to many, loses the ball and puts you under pressure. But i am glad your happy, we are extremely happy with him leaving, we bought in 3 extremely better players with better skill and end product.

The Wales website says you got him for £1 million, slightly false, £1 million with addons, bringing to around £1.5 million, and he only cost us £300k, so very good business from our point of view.

But i wish Nooney every success, he was a crowd favourite.

For a start you're not rubbing it in, I don't think I have spoken to one Brighton fan who was gutted that he left.

mainly due to the quality we have as back up, he was also a fans favorite and gave us his all and if he was being offered more money at your place then good luck to him, I'm sure if he does well and you sell him on, we will also be getting part of that.

However the money we got for him was a decent amount which has allowed us to make maybe two or three signings on deadline day, which in my opinion will bring a lot more to our squad than Nooney did.

First half of last season he was on fire, however faded badly so don't judge him to soon and don't expect to much to early. you have a decent player in Noone, but you do not have a bargain.

Give it six months then come back to this thread, great lad, good pace, inconsistent with no final ball or shot, that's why we sold him. Surprised Cardiff wanted his signature so badly, he will never be a Premier League player which is what they (and we) aspire to.

£1.5 million is the correct answer. Walesonline suffering from depreciation!
Do we think we could turn down £1.5 million?
I think not as it created "financial" capacity to bring in the new players that joined the GusBus

Loved by the fans as he is one footballer who actually appreciates how lucky he is to be a pro footballer. Great comedy value and will be good banter within the dressing room. Anyone who saw the coach pulling up at Reading away would have seen Nooney on the coach bouncing around like a school child at the excitement of arriving at the madejski On a purely footballing note he has unbelievable close control and dribbling ability beyond most however he can get caught being muscled out alot and lacks consistency with his final ball, his goal scoring record for a winger is poor as well but he is young and will improve no doubt! I wish him all the best- he opened up alot more opportunities for others to come in. I have heard the official sum recieved was £1.8 million, which is about right. We rejected £1mill last time without any consideration. Good business for all concerned! There are not many players of his type around anymore
