Take care GWF you may induce a stroke upon some of the NSC faithful. You suggest far too much tactical information for some to handle. :)

Oh and we have not even gotten on to Midfield, the main stalling point of the whole(well the "other teams have found us out stage during December, gloom and doom" season)Liam aside.....

Everyone who's doubting CMS, just remind me how many clear cut chances we created for him today? And before anyone suggests it, for those not sitting in the West Stand, Barnes' header back across goal was not in his range, and therefore not a chance?

I think the people that are criticising him have short memories. He was superb earlier in the season and is at the moment blatantly low on coinfidence which can happen to anyone. I do think he might benefit from being "rested" for a couple of games though. We've got the depth to do it now. When I looked at the subs bench today it really hit me what a good squad Gus is building. And thats without Reyes and Noone! The glass is very definately half full right now.....

Geez. Not this again. It's becoming as disheartening as reading threads ripping into Ashley Barnes. CMS works his backside off for the team and is a valuable asset. Yes, we all hope he starts scoring more goals, but as has been mentioned numerous times, he's not had the service.

I don't like this "hasn't had the service" argument. Part of the reason for that is because he's part of the build-up and can't control the ball. In the first half he lost the ball countless times when it was played to his feet.

It's not his game, I agree with that, so he shouldn't be in the side. Vokes is a better player for the way we play

This entirely. People are moaning but it's more our lack of creativity, CMS has been given very few clear cut chances for ages.

He was utter shite today. When he first started he would chase everything down so it didn't matter if he couldn't pass or shoot, in the last few games he's just looked lazy and has offered nothing. Not worth the money we paid - wish we got Billy Sharp.

Totally disagree, I counted a good 3 or 4 times when he lost the defender and with the right vision from other players he would have been in on goal. How you can say he was shite is beyond me, depends how you read the game I guess.

As I said in a previous post, if he gets the service he needs after working so hard to make space for through balls (which he did several times today), I think he will start scoring, but it is up to others to be quick enough to see this and to be quick enough to make the pass (which didn't happen on several occasions).

I guess it's a 2 way thing though, On one hand people say he needs the service but on the other hand at the moment he seems to lose control of everything that is played through to him. Like I said in my previous post though I do rate CMS so I dont want to go down the road of slating him but I just dont think he's on top of his game at the moment and he looks like he could do with a few games out of the starting line up.

The position that Cms is playing at the moment the one thing he has to do is hold the ball up and that is not his game.i do feel sorry for him abit.

Compare CMS to Rooney playing for England, Rooney goes looking for the ball and gets very frustrated throwing his toys out the pram and his scoring record is poor. CMS never get frustrated and continues to try, is Rooney a shit player? Frustrating yes annoying yes and I think he needs to be dropped for a couple of games but he is a quality player and will come good.

Absolutely.

OK a hypothetical question.... Would you play or could you envisage Vicente playing in CM? Provided he was fully fit etc.

Today he found space and waited with his hand up numerous times, unfortunately this happened mainly when Bridcutt had the ball. Bridcutt who has been superb all season but today (how he got MotM I do not know) just didn't look up! Not CMS's fault.

maybe, but it would be perhaps with 2 defensive midfielders to supplement

We are still looking how to make the best use of him. People need to relax a bit more.

I can't relax,i am soooo excited,we are perhaps 2,3 maybe 4 players away from getting promotion next season...seriously

Look, I don't see enough games nowadays as I,m an exile, but I took a few of my local mates to watch the Newcastle game here in Prague, they've visited the town (as it was then!) back when I lived there but know nothing about the Albion. The two players they were yakking about afterwards were Buckley (but I told them to watch out for him) and CMS. Two people who don't know he's our record signing, he was brought in after Murray left and all that, picked him out without any prompting from me.

Sometime's we're too quick too dismiss hard working footballers in England. The goals will come. In the mean time, let's just be grateful to have someone so willing to work his arse off for the Albion.
