Personally, I'd wish him nothing but the best: it just somehow hasn't clicked for him here, which was absolutely nothing to do with any lack of effort or trying or hard work on his part, or even to do with any lack of talent (or for that matter, lack of opportunities) - it just didn't work out, sadly. It's a damn shame but it happens; I can see him absolutely thriving somewhere else.
Agree with most of that except the bottom line is he is poor striker. You don't miss that amount of chances if you were half decent.

Got to be Vale then.Cheers for that.

If he does return and the team plays with alot more confidence and gets into a winning mentality then it might bring the best out of players like Davies.Hope so as he deserves better.

Never given a decent run in a team that wasn't a complete shambles. Good luck to him, I liked his attitude and think he'll come good, doubt it'll be for us though.

All the raw attributes to be a real star, just needs some good coaching which I had hoped Gus and his team would offer.

What Craig Davies have people been watching? As far as I've seen he's been crap, if he had skil he would have scored more than one goal in all his chances. Might go on to be an average player elsewhere but will be glad when he's off the wage bill.

Well said. He does seem to have something about him, but the fact is he's had loads of chances in the team and not taken them. Some people are making it sound like we letting a really important player go.

once he scores they will flow, loan him out get him some confidence elsewhere then bring him back in, comes across as a nice guy who has always given 100% when he turns that into goals he will be an attribute to a club like ours.

Has got pace and power and scares the life out of defenders but seems to have difficultly in hitting the net. Personally think that once he gets a couple of goals his confidence will grow and he will be a different player. Still have faith, has he actually gone then?

Agree with this. From distant memory I remember Nogan being tosh until he pinged one in off his knee in a freight rover game and then didn't stop until we sold him.
