What has Davies done since he has bee.n here to warrant comsideration for selection easy answer absolutely nothing so put him on the bench and perhaps give him 10 minutes if Murray and Forster then Dickenson (1st sub) have failed to score. Use him like we do OGH

Spot on, he is useless.

We havnt given him a chance this season. shipped out to yeovil and their manager said he was brilliant or something along those lines.id rather have him over the lazy, mouthy, weak dickinson who refuses to jump in the air or stay on his feet

Dickinson is a hapless mess but at least he's scored a couple of goals.

Murray is a cock but he's still head and shoulders above any striker at the club not named Nicky. They should start, obviously.

None of your buisness
Davies who has a position to play for will i'm sure show more spirit on Sat than certain 2 forwards (no names mentioned, needless) who have recently played/appeared upfront. Remember alot of his appearances have been from the bench so it would be unfair to say he's had his chance. Yes he was shite against Orient away and missed some absolute sitters other times Davies played (just like Murray when he first started) But, I also remember Davies making alot of those missed chances himself so he has definetly showed potential but just a lack of confidence and luck. He does the hard stuff well but fails on the esay stuff.
He has a better touch than Dickinson, more drive than Murray right now and more strength than Forster. He in other words could play alongside any of those 3 and I'm sure he wouldn't find it to hard to adapt to a partnership.
He has to and will play on Sat.

He's only had 15 mins as sub v. Southend but he did more in that time than most in the full 90. He cushioned the ball back off his chest for Bennett to hit the crossbar, had a chance blocked, made a great cutback that was just begging to be lashed into the net (but nobody was following up from midfield) and generally created mayhem in their defence.

We should use the Davies and Hart combo, worked well in reserves, might as well try it.

Is this the Davies that did so well on his one month loan that they sent him back early or the Davies whose most significant contribution during his loan spell is reported on the back page of the Western Gazette (Yeovil's rag) as 'coming closest to scoring when he punched the ball over the line in goal-mouth scramble at Oldham'?

Sounds just what we need!!!!

I would love to see Davies in the team as he gives 100%.

However can he be recalled from his loan spell, what type of agreement was made between Yeovil and Brighton. Do some loan contracts mean the player must stay at said club until end date.

I think Davies with one of Murray or Forster would work well.

Davies works a lot harder than Dickinson, and actually has a bit of pace compared to most of our strikers, so he can stretch defences and allow players of the class of Forster and Murray to exploit those spaces.

Before worrying about who should play upfront we really need to sort out the shambles at the back.
We need some experience, so one in the Butters/Foster/Cullip mould who can read the game and hold the hand of Virgo/Elphick/Tunny or whoever is playing. Its so obv yet Slade seems to not see it.
We were spoilt with first Simon Morgan, Cullip, Blackwell when fit and finally Butters. No substitute for experience...

I would like to see him back in the team. I just don't see what Dickinson is ever going to give us, and dear old Gary Hart, well, it was a purple patch of form late last season, but it doesn't look like returning.

Let's have another look at Davies please, at least I know he will run his legs off for the team.

He is stronger than dickinson and doesn't fall over all the time. He is brilliant at crosses and has great pace. It's a no brainer.

I'd rather play someone that creates chances for others and worries defences rather than someone who doesn't.

Spot on, why can't some people see that he is exactly what we are lacking this season. He showed that he has both the ability and pace to get past the defender and get the ball in the box, bar bennett, who else does this?
He always works hard and plays well, but last season it just wasn't falling for him.
Why can't people just forget about the few misses he had last season and give this guy the second chnce ge deserves :tantrum:
