Got to agree with WW on this one.
I don't think he holds it up particularly well as he always seems to be looking for the foul rather than waiting to offload the ball and run off his man.
Positioning seems to be poor as he never has time on the ball.
Shooting speaks for itself, although that is a confidence thing.
Poor first touch from what I've seen.

I do think Owusu is going to end up as an impact player, giving us another option.

The bench will aslo have Virgo on it, who can cover a number of positions, which is good.

Think Davies will be the one to struggle to make the match day 16.

I agree, i think that when fully fit, it will be Murray alongside Forster upfront with Owusu on the bench. He would be a great player to bring on when we need a goal, for his strength, presence and ability to win every header near him

I think the lad is trying a little too hard. i reckon, once he's settled, the goals will come and he'll be a handful at this level.

absolutely come next season a bit of confidence behind him he is going to be a force to be reckoned with and will be bouncing this thread to make people realise how stupid they at judging him so early in his Brighton career. Forster, Murray and Davies to choose from (and hopefully Owusu on a longer basis) not a bad forward line.

I agree he tries too hard, when you are low on confidence as a striker you just try and kick it as hard as you can instead of placing it in a corner. He has done that with his two clear cut chances against Northampton and Yeovil and he has blazed hopelessly high and wide.

He needs another tap in like his only goal, or a chance where he doesnt have time to think about what he has to do apart from get in a shot. Hopefully he will score and go on a run of about 4 or 5 in the remainder of the season.

I still think he will score the goal that will secure our safety from relegation

How can someone be low on confidence this quickly ?

After the move should of been bursting with confidence, then when he scored even more so. If his confidence is that fragile after just a few games then the lad has a problem.

I think we've been seen off personally

Hes had so many good chances to score vital goals and he fluffs it every time.

his finishing is poor.
he doesnt win headers.
he cant hold it up.
he cant take players on.

Not good enough.

the abuse he got after his miss today was completely out of order imo, it made me embarrassed to be a Brighton fan when that happened.

It's so easy to criticise a player who is severely lacking confidence, and it isn't suddenly gonna make him play better is it, especially when we need him to perform!

He looked a decent propect when he first arrived but got injured an was rushed back before he was ready, now after all the abuse he gets, and also that he must be feeling so down after a few bad misses which has destroyed what all strikers thrive on, confidence.

A confident player doesn't think about the chance and just does what he needs to do, an unconfident player takes extra touches, hesitates and then tends to miss more than they should, its the same for all players.

the abuse shows we have some fans who are completely clueless about football matters, which including player psychology, the team have had to suffer abuse all season because some fans think it helps the side perform, but the reality is that you end up with a poorly performing team and ruined players

Go "support" some other team then.

What is with all this sticking up for him!? I do not believe some of these comments. You'd rather see some crap player who puts in no effort and doesn't give a shit about the club than give his position to one of our youth players who would play out of their skins to play for the first team?

Don't even try critisicing my support for Brighton. I travel from Reading every week to watch us get beaten and play crap football. Do you really think the sarcastic "support" is necessary?

Wanker.

You think he's shit, I don't. ok?

All the time he plays for Brighton I'll give him a chance.

Do you think the Wanker was necessary?

If you think that personal abuse at a player who moved here and got thrown straight into a relegation fight with off-the-field problems, whilst he is actually ON THE FIELD in a Brighton shirt is acceptable, then I will question your support for Brighton.

And I travel from Brighton every week to watch us get beaten and play crap football, so no top trumps there I am afraid.

Yes i do think it was necessary.
How can you question my support of the club that i will love until i die. I can't bear to see us go down in such a pathetic way. I just wish players would at least look like they actually cared about this club.
What has me thinking Davies is shit and you not got to do with me going and "supporting" another club.
Sitters missed at Tranmere, Yeovil, Northampton and MK Dons now. He's supposedly a striker. Where are all these goals exactly?
And we apparently paid £100,000-£200,000 for him!?
He isn't the only player that is playing like they couldn't care less at the moment. Carole, Owusu, Heath etc are completely useless as well.
