I think he would have rejected any deal put in front of him.
Parish conned him into signing the last contract and he was off regardless at the end of it.
And that's what smacks of desperation/no plan - trying to keep a player- who wants to fack off - at seemingly any cost. It's unsustainable and short-sighted.

It's bizarre how that club is run. I listened to a bit on the radio the other day saying how the vast majority of recent Palace signings have been free transfers. And then they go and spaff a load on the young guy from Blackburn. Bizarre business model, to me.

It isn't a business model.
Beaky has been knee-jerking his way through the job for the past 13 years.

Beaky is in the shit at themoment and needed to signal to the fans that he had listened.
So he spunked a few mill overspending on a young talented Championship player.

Apparently there were arguments in the away end when the banners went up on Saturday,
Some of the chavs think Beaky has done enough, clearly.

I dont remember any booing in that game or any of Potters last few games. Probably because we kept winning. Sure you are not thinking of the 0-0 in November 2021 when lots of people booed

I was agreeing with you and yes it was longer than stat quoted. It was indeed the match you say.

Young, ambitious coach too? It’ll never work I tell you!
It’s ironic because Palace did genuinely get themselves a young, progressive manager. Ronald de Boer. Not untypically of such managers, he had a poor first few games while bedding in the ethos and system with the existing players (like Potter and RdZ did), but whereas Brighton stuck with theirs and reaped the rewards, they shat the bed.

“This is the master plan Steve, we deliberately go three down at half time, then put a ten grand on to win with the bookies at 100-1, bring Olise on for the second half who wins the game and we clean up, what can go wrong?”

No idea when they upped and left, but they were not in those seats at the end of the game

Worthing
A strange strategy,
Making themselves worse to make them feel better.

It's bizarre how that club is run.
And yet they've had their longest top flight run in history and very rarely been in real relegation trouble. They have just done it differently to us and clearly with a less ambitious strategy but still cant see them getting relegated, even if it is FFP penalties that saves them. I actually thinnk one of their biggest issues is our success. If we were bumbling around mid to bottom table then they could probably accept their stagnation but weve shown there is another way and that's made the natives restless.

Have the Ultras sent the club and players another open letter yet? One with various demands in telling the club how they should be run?
