Selling the ground was not the intention at that stage.
Not without having an alternative venue in place anyway.

*No moneyIt just irks with them because we have:
Better Chairman
Better Manager
Better Ground
Better Training Ground
Better Squad of players
Better Academy
Bigger Attendances
6 points
But they do have:
A squad with no fight or passion (words taken from their own forum after Sunday's game.)
A centre forward who's stealing a living (again their words)
A stadium that's falling down, albeit with some new cladding and clean drains
A chairman who doesn't have a clue
Some Yank investors who allegedly want out.
Their best player wants to leave
A new stand, oh wait.
*No money
*No goals
*Unrest within their support with dissenters labelled as ‘Brighton trolls’
*Benteke

6 points?
Massive wage bill
Cladding
Hoodies in black who are the best supporters in the world - unless they can't sit where they want then they don't go
A drum
A pretty nice away kit
To be fair, they do also have a summer beer festival - so they beat us in 1 aspect. It just irks with them because we have:

"Alright, so apart from a better stadium, clean facilities, a competent owner, higher attendances, a world-class training ground, a more rounded team, stronger unity and a well thought out long-term strategy, what do Brighton have over us?"
"A good manager?"
"Good manager...AHHH SHUT UP!"

Reading the thread I get the impression that the 'Albion supporters' that wanted to sell the ground simply didn't exist. We needed to borrow money to pay our debts (something a little alien to our Palace supporting friends), and in order to raise the money, we needed our ground to be considered valuable, and for that, planning permission was seen as a benefit. But none of the fans wanted a retail park there.Having read all the archived thread it seems the "Albion supporters" who wanted to sell the Goldstone, that our unwashed friend Adlerhorst is banging on about, is just a handful of councillors & the board? Not a huge swathe of fans desperate to sell the ground?
Are their players at it now?To be fair, they do also have a summer beer festival
Brighton & Hove Albion 3 - 1 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Brighton & Hove Albion
People have forgotten to mention their first class recruitment team, that bring in top players on low wages, with huge sell on potential..... oh wait! Benteke, Cahill and Meyer hmmm

Adlerhorst (Eagle's eyrie) was a World War II bunker complex in Germany, located in the rural area of Langenhain-Ziegenberg
They like their German links, don't they?

Not going to lie though, as far as usernames go; that's pretty cool.
