Argus Comments section as always is an idiot magnet. But the comnents on any Covid article are always hijacked by one or maybe even more than more than one IP address COVIDIOTS. At which point the comnents always get derailed into meaninglessness earlydoors. It really is beyond peurile. So many real serious freaks out there in the community it's quite scary really

Serious question - does anyone here wear a mask when driving a car on their own? I see it so often and it completely baffles me. To me that's not risk assessment, that's just oddball behaviour.

Anyone help me understand this one?

I have. I've got so used to it (In Tenerife need them on anywhere outside too) that I sometimes simply forget. I'm sure that counts for a decent proportion and others that just can't be arsed to take them off between 'visits'.

All of which makes me wonder why it's so bloody difficult for those that don't bother at all or can't wear them correctly

I've done it a couple of times when I've been in the supermarket and it's been chucking it down with rain and I've wanted to avoid buggering about too much and get home.

It was sold as important to wear one not for you but the other person ..one person in a car baffles me ..unless there are a few on something causing them to hallucinate :moo:

Never..soon as I’m out of the shop I’m like a surgeon ripping it off my face in triumph after another successful sortie to the shops

Mrs Crodo and I often share our main car at different times, it's good practice wearing a mask consistently, what harm can it do??

Villa Park. Non playing staff seats. Grealish. Mask just about covering his chin. Just like his shin pads.

This as well

We have people being fined for driving to the beach atm - we either have rules or we don’t.

But I think this shows the Government may well lose control at some point

Really? We drove to Camber today. It was lovely. Mind you the car park was closed (parked across the road), and we didn't get closer than 20 yards to anyone on our stroll on the beach. Do I go to jail for that?

What about train to London, tube to a big teaching hospital, up to my research lab to show some students where I do experiments, then retrace my steps? That's what I'm being asked to do at work right now.

I love a bit of good leadership me. Land of hope and glory. God Save the Queen.

I suppose its only kinky the first time....seriously, do you wear masks around each other in your own home?

Seems plain weird to me but to each their own. How often do you change/discard/wash the things?

Not unless we are in close proximity, but we keep windows open to allow good ventilation.

Can I also add Rangers fans and indeed players today, totally abhorrent scenes at Ibrox today. Many fans congregating when they should be staying the **** at home unless absolutely necessary. Then Rangers players celebrating with the fans at the end, I hope the relevant authorities throw the book at them including points deductions and fines.

Pneumonia has some of the same symptoms as Coronavirus.

I think you're wasting your time. The only way two people in a family relationship can share a house but avoid sharing coronavirus, is by breaking the family relationship. If you're both isolating anyway, it isn't worth it and never has been. It would be less effort to lose weight, surely? That way you could reduce the already minimal danger without semi-separating from your wife.

I know of friends and work colleagues who have contracted this dreadful disease and their partners and family members they shared the house with subsequently tested negative. Mrs Crodo and I are both morbidly obese, if one of us gets it we would do everything we can to avoid the other gets it but inevitably if we did we would pass it on to the other if we behaved like we did in pre 2020 normal. The government and advisors have said before we should all act as if we have if and if we did that we would stop many chains of transmission and save lives.

If I act as if I have it, then I don't make my mother's tea (and she doesn't make mine) and I don't give her a hug and a kiss goodnight. I don't think it's worth giving that up just to reduce the chance of catching coronavirus from 0.2% to 0.19%. Each to his own.

If I have coronavirus, I will change my domestic arrangements. but if I have no reason to suspect I have it, then the potential gain is not worth it.
