I'm not sure that a postponement of Sundays game would be good for us. It would mean Duffy missing Wolves game and none of the injured players will be available then either. On the other hand it does give others a better rest time.

Agreed - anyone calling for a postponement is a bit pathetic on either side. You have a squad for a reason, get the game on

I would caveat that to say any players who are uneasy about it (if the outbreak is confirmed and escalates) on either side might have a point. Not beyond that though.

Think it’s generally LFT positive PCR negative. The latter is the more stringent accurate test and less likely to return false positive. I’ve had a positive LFT which was followed by negative PCR and I was free to roam!

Recent studies have shown that LFTs are far more accurate (and throw up few false positives) than initially thought. It's instructive that the major difference now between an LFT and a PCR is that, with the latter, you can identify the variant, which is obviously pretty crucial with omnicrom.

I am torn on this one.

My son has an important match on Sunday. I am awaiting the kick off times but I have been undecided whether I go to the Spurs game or his match.

Never missed one of his matches so I am most likely going to choose to watch him and miss Spurs However, a postponement takes away any of that thinking.

Also - hoping that the players/staff involved are OK etc!

I'm weighing up whether we want to miss a game now with all our injuries versus Spurs missing a game now with several players down with Covid and a lack of time for Conte to transmit his ideas to the team. On balance, I'll probably go with the latter, but it's a close one.

If they could please identify the six affected players, then we can decide whether to go ahead!

Things will be a little clearer when we see their line up in Europe on Thursday.

Better still, could we identify their six: Son, Kane, Moura, Hojberg, Lloris and whoever's least worst of their defenders for me.

These are the rumoured players

Emerson, Davies, Son, Gil, Lucas and Romero

Interesting. If they were without Son and Lucas that does balance our defensive woes a bit.

Hopefully Emerson's would prove a false positive and he can be free to play. Bloke is absolutely woeful.

Get the game on. Spurs will get better after more time with Conte and we won't play them after a European match. My fear is the European match will happen but ours might not.

Agree about Emerson. They get rid of Aurier for someone who offers even less. Remarkable. Is he an athlete? Yep. Can he play football? Nope. Sign him up.

Easily the worst PL full back I'd seen this season, until Leeds turned up at the Amex with a competition winner at left back (until he went off at half time).

Other than the six mentioned, the club apparently expects more players to test positive during todays mass-testing.

If that’s the case then I can see the game being postponed. The upside is that I can then watch the Grand Prix instead :D!

Yay the "who built the fastest car?" competition...

I hope the game goes through but I agree it is starting to look like it might be postponed.

I’m not an enormous Grand Prix fan, been to one in the Mansell/Senna/Prost era in front of 150,000 at Silverstone and that was enough, but I have to admit I have really enjoyed the Hamilton v Verstappen battle over the last few weeks and looking forward to the finale. That’s if I’m still awake having stayed up to watch the Ashes!!

Made it into the bbc news bulletin at lunchtime too.

This match will be postponed. We probably won’t get anyone back for the rescheduled date but they will! Just play and get it done. Tough.
