The guy has had serious personal issues with alcohol and gambling addictions and sat on a train track a while back in a suicide attempt. I respect him for trying to turn his life around.

fair play to the bloke, but he is no commentator - he could at least bother to learn the players' names before referring to albion as 'we' and 'us'.

Rose-tinted glasses. He was no better than Ankergren, he is far too old to be considered anything other than a temporary measure. We need a new goalkeeper in january, but we need one who is going to be in the team for years to come, not Harper whose best days are past him. He peaked in 1997, playing in the FA Cup Final.

I trust gus knows the players better than us and know who will respond to public criticism and who won't, and will talk to the players in training on a one to one basis to address any issues.

Or more likely he'll just shoot off at the mouth like he usually does :lol:
