I think you'll find we gave him a two-game trial and presumably we weren't interested. I doubt very much we wanted him either permanently OR on loan.

His contract with Everton expired at the end of last season, so he was a free agent.

Didnt realize that we gave him a trial and didnt follow it up, which fully explains everything. Obviously he wasnt considered good enough
