Got to bat out a day and a half to salvage a draw! Leicestershire have surprised me, thought they'd want to be scoring a lot quicker. If they keep up the rate, they'll be 350 ahead with 4 sessions to go.

Wright and Jordan to come. Should make a huge difference. But agree, not looking like bouncing back.

Only good news is Essex will lose Cook, so they get weaker (they're the strongest side in the division IMO).

Listened to the Mark Davis interview after the first day - I have seldom heard a more downbeat, flat and uninspirational interview - this man must have been hired on the cheap. On the basis of his "personality" as demonstrated in that interview were loose.
