Am I the only one to recoil in shock as I misread "Shag We, the Mayor and Councillors of the City..." ?

There's having the freedom of the city, and there's having the freedom to do rude things to the town council... I think it's overstepping the mark myself!

I think I read that the proposals for a massive development north of Shoreham Airport had effectively stopped any plans to develop Falmer any further...or at least for the time being.

Out of interest, is there a definitive list of freemen and women of Brighton and Hove? Just curious to know how many Sussex sportsmen and women have been honoured, for instance Charlie Webb or Sir Jack Hobbs or Ted Dexter.

Sorry, I missed that. I do wonder if that list is incomplete as it only has Brighton and up until the 90s, Hove and Brighton Councils were distinct entities.
